  • This vid went viral on Andorra

  • in which scale do these chords belong ?

  • That was great!!!!!!!!! but i have a question .... in whick scale do these chords belong?

  • Progressive Insurance sucks, Justin rocks.

  • I think the best part of your lessons is you've always got the right guitar out for the particular style of music you're teaching. Really dig your tones, thanks very much :)

  • i been playin 20 years n think ur teachings are awsome m8 props wish i had you on you tube when i was learning at 14 b4 internet 5 stars

  • HEY JUSTIN!

i saw a justinguitar shirt in a local thrift store, and iwas like ROCK ON! and i bought it . ! YAY

  • That is a good technique Justin, sounds grovy slow or fast. Are you going to put all your guitar lessons on DVDs for us?

  • Thanks for the great lesson! Could you please talk about pick-up configuration when you are going for specific sounds like this funk sound?

  • @aviv1010 I wont speak for him, put generally I use a open tone setting (as if you didn't even have a tone knob) on the bridge pickup to enhance the scratch sound.. then mangle the amp to get whatever sound you want. You can always un-brighten the sound on the amp, or switch to middle/neck, but if you you muffle those scratches with the tone knob of the guitar it's difficult to get the "liveliness"

  • Why are you counting it in quarter notes when it's a sixteenth note groove?

  • o and...any idea what scale i can use with these chords? thanx

  • E blues scale

  • is it ok if in the second form of the E9 chord i use the middle finger to bar and ignore the 5th and 6th strings? sure there's only 4 string involved but it's easier and sounds almost the same this way

  • oh dear

  • Don't know which skill is the stronger as you are a superb player and superb teacher. Thanks for posting.

  • nice!!!!

  • Cool lesson!

Where did you get the Tele control plate with 3 holes? Or Did you make one?

    Thanks

  • look at his guitar gear vids for the tele info

  • i got a problem with electric guitars. My fingertips are big and when I put my finger in a string between two strings to play a chord I mute the two strings with my finger. Should I change to bass?

  • Hey you're not alone. I've heard there are wider necks to help with your problem, and also heard that people with the same problem tend to improve after practice. Just do a google on "big finger guitar" or something.

  • You should practice pushing the individual frets with chords, if you can play a chord properly once, then you can play it properly a million times. I doubt the size of your fingertips make much of a difference, if it does, then you'll have to find another way of playing it. Anyone can play a guitar, some people just have to make certain changes in their style to do so.

  • Two words:

    Classical Guitar

  • try playing an epiphone firebird... they have a really wide fingerboard. but it's also a lot of boring practice too that'll help fix that.

  • get a wider neck

  • same thing with SRV. you need a wider diameter neck

  • Great lesson. Effective teacher ;)

  • looks like you've got that brent mason guitar set up. nice.

  • i love when you go up ur head movement makes me smile
