"AGLM", Trans-people are second-class citizens. Just ask those over-paid bigots that control HRC. I wonder how many of these self-centered so-called LGBT "freedom fighters" were standing up for the equal (NOT special) right to gainful employment for the trans-community? Is being married (or not) going to prevent a person from being hungry and homeless? No income = NO LIFE! There is NO "equality" without the "T"!
tgcyndi, I am with you on the HRC comment, but the trans-community was very well represented at this rally. This particular speech didn't touch on it, but others did. I just wasn't able to film and post it because 1) I didn't have room on my memory card 2) it was as cold as a mother. It is unfortunate about what happened regarding the HRC, but that's a whole other issue all together. The GLN is very much your ally and it's not right to attack that group because of the HRC.
You really don't understand the point of wanting to legalize gay marriage. It's not really about the marriage, at all. It's about equal rights for everybody. The people that support the LGBT community would protest if a store didn't allow LGBandTs to buy their pillows for Pete's sake. It's about equality, not really marriage.

Ask yourself this: if you are HOMELESS, and/or HUNGRY, and/or SICK, and/or UNEMPLOYED, does it really matter whether or not the state allows you to marry the person of your choice?
Do you understand the difference between WANT and NEED?
All people NEED food, clothing, shelter, and medical assistance.
Where is all the outrage against the conditions (like employment discrimination) that prevent people from having those necessities of life?
No matter what you think tgcyndi, GLN is indeed your ally. Why all the attacks on our protest? A major part of the org is standing up for ANY injustice. Just because we protested Prop8 doesn't mean that we don't also support trans rights actively. There were several speeches on trans rights. GLN supports a lot of issues, they don't always have to be about the same thing. Your arrogance and anger aside, I understand why you're upset, but your anger is misplaced.
You make a good point. However, this protest was simply a protest against denying gay and lesbian marriage. So if you believe what you wrote, good for you. I believe it too. But this is neither the place or time-two separate issues.

i just don`t understand why people don`t understand that homosexuality is a sinful act .. don`t forget about sodom and gomorrah and remember there is an afterlife and life is too short .. worship god and forget about satanic desires before it`s too late for repentance .

You're welcome to disagree with us. You aren't welcome to create a theocracy and have the government establish a religious state. There will not be an American Taliban. You worship as you wish and you let us live our lives.
Oh, yeah. That is a comment in favor of the LGBT community. But I read the Bible and those were God's words (I am not saying that Christianity is the only real religion, but since the arguments against homosexuality and bi-sexuality are the words the believe are God's). Sorry for the confusion lol. I probably should have put an explanation.
