When I listen to the first Metallica records (those with Cliff Burton), I often dislike the screamy reverbed vocals. But for THIS particular song, they are a must ! This performance is nice, but since James stopped screaming around and started singing, this song lost some of its power IMO.

'Cos Hammet used dubbed guitars to create the sound of multiple guitars playing (listen closely and you can tell there's more than 1 guitar playing that solo), and it's too fast to play live. Also it cuts the tempo so I suppose they want it to remain a fast song throughout live! F'in good song.
