In the Brihad Naradiya Purana, one of the 18 Puranas or ancient historical texts of the Vedas it says that "In this age of quarrell and hypocrisy, Kali, the only means of deliverance is the chanting of the holy names, the chanting the holy names, the chanting the holy names of the Lord. There is no other way, there is no other way, there is no other way." And i did not make a mistake by repeating 3 times. In the original sanskrit it is writtrn 3 times to emphasise its importance.

There is actually a very profound philosophy behind this. It says that God's name is completely spiritual because God is completely spiritual. So the actual sound IS spiritual. It is non-different from God. So when we utter it properly we are actually associating with God. And because God is all pure, the chanter becomes purified and elevates him/herself ultimately to become a pure lover of God, a saint, if you will.

it is also said in the Bhagavat Purana that in the current age of Kali (quarrell and hypocrisy) that inteligent ( spiritually enlightened) persons will worship the Lord by means of congregational chanting os singing of His Holy names. Its becoming worldwide. Everywhere God's names are being chanted. Muslims and Christians also glorify God's names.

I think this is beautiful. I think many of them may not exactly understand that Vishna or Krishna is supreme but they are still being very much blessed by the most powerful mantra in the Vedic Shastra, the maha mantra. It is said that this mantra in the Kali Santaran Upanishad the after searching throughout all the Vedas one cannot find a method of religion so sublime. It is the best way to counteract the contamination of the Kali age, the age of darkness, quarrell and hypocrisy.

@FGy8 actually this a prayer to krishna (god) in sanskrit that is thousands of years old, krishna das (which literally means servant of god or krishna coincidentally) is just one of the many wonderful people that popularizes this prayer through a method called kirtan or bhajan. : )
