Saga 2 axem rangers= Buu: Smithy/Babiddi trying to revive them,

Chaos= Hirudegan?: Large monster with immense power and thirst for destruction, only prominent in the movie

Luigi= Krillin+Gohan, often scared to fight, the source of comic relief, but very powerful when he does battle

Shadow=Vegeta, same reasons as you, plus he's the other remaining member of Sonic's race

Yoshi=Piccolo, both are green fucking dinosaurs (see TFS DBZA episode 2)

Luigi=ima go with you on this one

E. Gadd=Dr. Briefs both old and kinda weird scientists and have radar

Actually, it's never actually stated whether or not Shadow's "skates" are the reason he can super-speed. He probably can run pretty fast without the skates, but he just chooses not to.
