"He says the characters are as real as he is", well, since Lemony Snicket is practically just a character/persona/pen name (Daniel Hanger being the author), thus making him not real, does that mean that it is not real at all?

Wow...is it Americans or is it just Lemony Snicket who's this annoying? He's so disrespectful and keeps interrupting. You can see that the interviewer is losing patience with him/doesn't like him very much...

Also, I can't comprehend how on earth making something awkward would produce comedic effect. Even so, it's not really awkward - all it does is make him seem halfhearted and not very serious about the interview.

@Keys2Death Well just to answer your question, yes, some Americans and that annoying just as some British/Irish/Canadian/etc. people can be "that annoying". I find this sort of funny and I think he was trying to act that way but, as you know, I'm not Daniel. Maybe just stick to his books if you don't like him as a person, eh?(;
