I like the sound of the drums better in the album version, but I love how Plant changes the lyrics up in each version. The vocals are awesome in this! I do like it at a slower tempo though. Thanks a lot for posting this!

Absolutely no mystery after hearing this why they are the greatest rock band of all time, Plant's vocals are wild and the music rocks so hard, even though its a midtempo song. No other band can approach Zep, it isn't even close.

Notice how this tempo is just a hair faster? The final version was slowed down just a tad, gives it that slightly hypnotic vibe...

So... I heard another version on the radio. We all know how the track was slowed down and vocals were put over it. I've been looking for the alternate version where it's studio... but the guitar is clean and chorded. I can't find it anywhere.

@luvthatzeppelin I imagine only Zep truly knows what the symbols mean. Somebody bought me a copy of that vinyl jewel as a gift- but I already had a copy. So, I have a copy in my stash that's still in its original cello wrapper, preserved for posterity.

The lyrics and Plant's vocals are better on the album version, but the instruments are better on this version, they sound a lot cleaner and have more force.

Really awsome. Had the honor to see Robert Plant a couple of years ago, and they also played Levee. I was going crazy. His voice is still amazing. This is probably my favorite Zep song.

This IS a killer version!

It sounds like the original music but cleaner and brighter instruments.

Plants vocals are recorded a little low.
