  • I met Bill (he was in character) in May of 1976(?) when he led Break-out at Wm &Mary. I still remember him leading the mob down Francis Street from the Pub and then jumping in the pool at the Wmsburg Lodge. He's the best!!

  • He's on WHAP 1340 Am in Hopewell doing an oldies show. You can get the station on the radio in Richmond too or over the internet. Used to watch him on ch 8 back in the day...

  • went to petersburg hi left in 71

I just for fun searched and found this,

    remember the bikini dancer?

He remined me of Truman capote

  • It would be so cool if Channel 8 still had those tapes... who cares about the movies! Just give us the Bowman Body bits inbetween and we'll be happy! Dracula Goes To Petersburg!

  • The Bowman Body was the best....still chuckle at the Arby's spots he used to do!! BRING HIM BACK!

  • I loved watching Bowman Body on "Shock Theatre" during the 1970's growing up in Richmond, VA.

  • I LOVED "Shock Theatre" featuring The Bowman Body. Bill Bowman was really a wonderful host for that program and it actually featured some pretty good obscure horror movies. One of the best was "Lemora: Lady Dracula" (or something like that). It's on DVD, now it's titled "Lemora: A Child's Tale of the Supernatural". Check it out!

  • I was on Shock Theatre about 3 times for my school's "Fun Fair" when I was a kid. Bill Bowman is a really great guy, a first class act.

I'd still watch it if it were on the air again.

  • I used to stay up late, build model cars and watch the Bowman Body! Cool stuff. Real nice guy.
