Yes You can but it will be quite slow in terms of botting up the os maybe you would get your self the faster,one with the harddrive.

What is a netbook? I just found this on futureshop today for $350 canadian but people say its not a laptop, its a netbook. Whats the difference? I just need a laptop good enough for my school next year, that means fast internet, any writing program, downloadable contents, etc.

a netbook is like your second computer light and portable which allows you to surf the net check your documents for errors and day to day stuff also low cost and yep its not a laptop at all

Wow, you got it allready. Have you tried to install any applications to it? Just curious how it works, i mean is it like debian apt-get or directly from tarballs?

its a redhat/fedora distro so it uses 'yum' instead of apt-get. there's also an add/remove like in debs but you have to add repositories to it.
