  • You certainly earned a like.

  • @dogloverbryce Thanks patna!

  • I like the origanal but this shit is way better

  • @awesomechris96 Thanks fam!

  • i was looking for a track like this for so long bro, i feel you, rap is not about material, they ruined the image of rap.

  • Yo Vthov you went in. I like the additional melody in the song that was style mannnnn! Thumbs up from the U.K baby!

    Uncle Mik...word up!

  • I couldn't stand the original, but this one is really good!

  • It's shocking to me how many people missed the point of Otis. Watch the Throne was about the place of black people when they get out of the poverty most were forced into. Otis flips the trope of rappers bragging about what they have because they are bragging about what *you* could have.

    "Viva Mexico, Cubano

Dominicano, all the plugs that I know

    Driving Benzes, wit' no benefits

Not bad huh? For some immigrants

Build your fences, we diggin' tunnels

Can't you see? We gettin' money up under you"

  • @SBIMEZM86 Actually this remix isn't talking about Otis but rap music in general. Also, I think you are stretching to make your interpretation fit. The line you posted was about dirty money from importing contraband material into the country. It wasn't about what the average person could achieve, and if they tried, they'd probably end up dead or in prison. Even if you were right about that line (which you most certainly are not), the other lyrics completely debunk what you are saying.

  • @Vthov From elsewhere in the album: "Power to the People - when you see me, see you"

    /////

"Domino, domino - only see a few blacks the higher I go

What's up to Will [Smith], shout out to O[prah]

That ain't enough, we gon' need a million more"

    \\\\\

I'm pretty certain I most certainly *am* correct about a major theme of the album. If your song wasn't talking about Otis, then I can respect what it's trying to do. If you haven't listened to WtT yet, peep Murder for Excellence; it's an amazing track

  • @SBIMEZM86 You may be correct about the album... I haven't heard the whole thing just a few tracks. I was just talking about the line from otis you quoted.

  • @SBIMEZM86 Also, I'd probably be more inclined to get it if that was THE major theme of the album instead of just a major theme. But that's just me, I wouldn't knock anyone for getting into WTT.

  • @Vthov That's fair; I'm pretty certain it's not the best album (though I'm still digesting it), but I'm glad for Jay and Kanye at least approaching such an idea and what that might mean.

Did you do the extra remixing on this track? They add a nice touch to the instrumental, I have to say

  • @SBIMEZM86 Thanks fam. I appreciate you checking me out. Yeah that was me that did the remixing. Take care.

  • Great remix:)

  • this is a great video

  • yo, who thinks he sound like busta rhymes in a way?

  • dope!

  • Superb

  • very very good

  • Dude I grew up listening to hip hop being born with Grand Master Flash and Sugerhill Gang watched it shift through Run DMC and The Fresh Prince (both dope ass acts in their day) I was listening when NWA said they was Straight outta Compton through to Public Enemy and down as its come to where we are today. Hip hop and rap were once amazing for telling how dark a city could be and now its starting to be used to spread truth and wisdom... Most impressive please don't stop your flow is ferocious.

  • Daaamn even Cassidy killed Jay-Z n knaye on their own shit...!! haha NO DOUBT VTHOV KILLED ALL THREE OF THEM!!

  • very technical, very good, I feel it.

    Good job Otis!

  • Wow this song is so true and inspirational.

  • This shit is sick. Your the man, thanks for promoing this to me!

  • i like this song

  • you even killed it before the beat drops!

  • kilt it

  • dayum, this is a sick ass rap

  • kool

  • the world needs more people like you

  • content is real and your version of the beat is monstrous. I like.

  • Wow he made Kanye and Jay-Z look like kids

  • God I love the internet. Just watched a BBC documentary about Public Enemy, one thing leads to another and I find Chuck D's "Notice, Know This" in response to Jay-Z and Kanye West's Otis and then of course, this sweet track.

I appreciate the work to do.

  • Good Message. Great Track, good that if found a positive message to offset all the main stream crap.

  • this is better than jayz and kangays fuckass version

  • this would be sweet redone to a hard dub-step

  • Better than original! Vthov will be a legend.

  • keep doing your thing, love it brotha

  • (Y) really gooooood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ouch! You're hurtin em man! Keep doin it

  • FUCKING SICK. Keep it going man, we need more of this shit over mainstream music.

    ~~ Books over Bullets.

  • All I gotta say is keepin ur music goin, forget wat dese other rappers say about u and follow god never sell ur soul. Dis man is a real nigaa talkin

  • drop that heat brother , this is a movement and a task trying to train the ear of people who don,t know what good music is , but big ups to you for being one of the ones no afraid to step out.

  • this is rly good!!

  • Yeah that was hott and real talk at that!! I love Jay to death but I am so outta the loop with the "new" (but actually old) music talking about the same old BS.... I do admit a T.I. marathon took me to another place today when I was feeling down and needed to escape but yeah in general I think the topics in hip hop are wack. You're rich, got hoes, cars and clothes - we get it....

  • .yijtyiytfyg

  • Mine speaks about the dilemma hispanics face with trying to attain u.s. citizenship. Well, at first. Haha. Then i spazz. Check it out.

  • how can you dislike this!?

  • @HipHopMaintainer i agree , a persons mind has to really be gone to say this is not the truth.

  • Kanye west as an artist needs to realize that he needs to take what god gave him and use it to praise his name instead of entertaining the world that's what i think

  • yo i feel this homie madd dope. hellz yeah this shits going on my cheap ass mp3

  • Luck up 2000000jake

  • And dont be a nigga...niggasssssss

  • You remind me of the one of the roots Tariq "Black Thought" Trotter. Hes a very talented mc, who has great flow... Check them out if you don't know them! The fire is one of my favourite ones :)

  • I felt this track! It's dope IMO! As others say, much better than the original. Keep it up lad 10/10

  • Finally someone with talent calling out the Auto-tuners. Massive respect for your message. The greatest revolutions start with a single vision. Keep it up. Plenty of people feel the same way.

  • i am soooo loving this guy right now! about time the world sees a much better rapper who speaks through his music :)

  • IMO, ur flow, lyrics, message, and background was sicker than the original. Keep goin, ur so good!

  • its a good concept but i aint realy feeling this track.

  • Hey can I get an instrumental of this? The original ain't as funky as this! And I gotta write to this!

  • Yo and real talk, don't label yourself as a rapper... you more than that!

    You're a true MC and that's what's up

Like KRS said "An MC can be a rapper, but a rapper can never be an MC"

    Peace and One Love

  • Yo I'm a writer too...

and I been tryna find a way to dis this status quo hip-pop bullshit and yo... you took the words out my mind and spit em raw!!

This is fire and I hope the hip-hop community recognizes you... no not the industry, the industry can fuck themselves but the community

    Hip-Hop community > Hip-Hop industry

  • can u send me the acapella to this i want to sample your vocal

  • most lyrical rapper.....the rap game need you

  • Alright so first and formost you killed this, but then you change the beat.? and make it 30 times better? Alright man. Thank God for your hip hop ability.

  • @Zaysvidz what he said

  • @don68597 Coming right up... My album should be dropping soon. Stay tuned fam. Peace.

  • @Vthov kool

  • This dude got BARS and I love how he spits all on the positive side.He shows that you could be lyrically hardcore dope raw dawg hiphop aaaaand be positive without all those fake lies cussin and all that stupidity.I love how he pointed out the difference between the way he used the word "nigga" and how others use it.Books over bullets, for real.Keep it hoppin son,you went iiiinnnn on this joint. All props for this joint mayne.Vthov is killin it.

  • dudes nice on the positive message

  • he goessssssss in!, you can understand everything hes saying, hes got some blessed voice.

  • This gangsta as hell..like..sub me up n ill do same for u

  • Damn man; I don't swang from nobodys junk but that shit is hotter than the other original track that was released! See I consider myself an old school rap lover and that is what this piece of art brought! I don't know if that is what this song was meant to do but that's what it did and that's why I give it the thumbs up! Lyrics that are catchy, say something and you don't have to belong to some crazy underground click to know the meaning of... I want some more nigga and I mean that in a good way

  • Rappin like this I won't see no figures

Paparazzi might not ever snap my picture

But that don't change the fact that I still flow sicker

as the young people would say....just plain Sick.......Lord Bless You Young Brother.....grace and peace. Selahpause

thats how it goes on that beautiful but shitty world... We gotta fight against them...

  • @imtheFreshest its kanyes beat and its still a sample so its not entirely his idea, plus this is 10 times better than the original

  • @theguy134

u wanna kidding me? Didnt realized the sarcasm?!? yeah, its hard to realize that i just gave him mad props...

  • All I can say is.......AMAZING!

  • beleive it or not this man speaks what the average black person feels in any ghetto. media makes it seem like all we are about is drugs, bitches, and murder.... that shit kills me. so many people born into fucked up situations that think of any positive way to make better lives for themselves. we finally have a voice. his names VTHOV.....
