Great Shooting. I was looking at one of these at the range and went home to do some research on this pistol. After seeing your vid and another one, I was sold. The things I liked were the sights and the smooth trigger pull.

really good video bud! i just bought an R1, I am surprised to find that I like it more than my Kimber Custom II. I like the throw-back / basicness of the pistol

Just one thing, twice in this video you commented that Remington has not made 1911 since the 20's when in fact, like many manufacuring companies in the U.S. and Canada, Remington was contracted to make small arms for the war effort durring WWII. Even companies like GE and GM made small arms, not only 1911. Cheers bud and good shooting

i put a BT on my colt commander imo makes a better shooter i got a blister not a bite though,mines got full size grips and takes the 8rd mags,btw mccormick makes flush-fit and novack used to.still might in 8rd.also i thought it was the

"officer's mod."that used the lower capacity mags.i could be incorrect,(thought i made a mistake once,but i was wrong!)i've kept my pencil erasers too!all BS aside nice pistol,nice vid.call anytime(even if you need bail)peace out sir!

7 rounds is the mag capacity of the original 1911. Remington is going for mostly traditional with that 1911.

I just bought a Metro Arms American Classic 1911 that has been great so far... only $450 for a decent 1911! I just did a video on it not too long ago. Love these 1911's and I've been on a 1911 kick lately, haha.

That's where I got mine, at Academy. I never really heard of it either, so I went home that night and did a lot of research... came to the conclusion that I should try it out... went back and got it a few days later. I am so glad I did so far too... look good, feels good, and most importantly... shoots good!

I only have 50 rounds through it right now, but every one cooked off without a hitch. It actually ran, and felt a lot like my Springfield... which is a good thing! =)
