We saw a gentler Maks backstage with Hope and it looked like he was having more fun. It was wonderful to see Maks parents, Val and Sir Sleep together backstage (look at all that food - lol). Love the opening with the umbrellas, and it made you feel like this came from a scene from "Singing In The Rain" and they did a wonderful job on the Quickstep (deserved 10s - just my opinion).
they are never satisfied with anything imo great dance on hope it is her best one and she deserves the 9s but i don't like maks & hope sometimes they seem like they think they deserves 10s all the time

And I thought it was great that Carrie Ann said she wanted to give Hope a hug and then did it. Imo, she and Len and Bruno have always wanted to see Hope do well. Their critiques have been pointed at times but their intentions were always good – they saw from the outset what a strikingly beautiful, charismatic and physically capable woman Hope is and they really wanted to see her reach her full potential in this competition.
It was very good to see that Maks and Hope have turned things around – not a moment too soon because their partnership had gone badly off track. The footage of Maks hitting Hope and slinging her around during the Team Paso rehearsal was shocking and appalling – I still can’t believe he did that. But he took 100% responsibility for it and that was a good - and the right - thing to do. Kudos to Maks.
I hope the fact that Maks bend over backwards to please the many Maks haters over the last week who wasn't gentleman and hated women doesn't go unnoticed he didn't show that to convince me i'm still a big Maks Fan! Also great dance finally Hope looks like she can actually dance and it is noticed that in Maks house they like to eat Big Feast Looks good.
This reminded me so much of Brandy and Maks' quickstep . Not only the energy and good performance, but it was a also a quickstep that signified a more positive beginning for them as a couple.
In DWTS, Maks is opposite of what he's like teaching in his studios. He's a patient & funny teacher. Look up vids of him teaching class & you'll see. On DWTS you get 4 days to teach technique & a routine that should take weeks. Having his friends & family from NY in LA is probably what turned him around.

Me thinks Maks had to tone down or this would be his last year! Otherwise why the complete turnaround? I do not think it is in his nature to be overly kind and caring since it has not ever been seen in him prior to this week. Maks is a die hard chauvinistic male and I think he has resented Hopes success. I still say he needs to be taken off the show as a principle dancer.
He finally realized that he was going to hard on her, I think it was like that because of the fact that they're both in a sense competitive and its to the extent where he just got completely blinded by everything. I don't think hes being fake though, I just think that we're not used to seeing this side and well, none of us initially seen this side of him until now (atleast speaking for myself I haven't seen it) but on the brighter side. They did great and they both looked refreshed.

I would bet you,when they are alone,he does not say things like that.. I'm just a vry real person,and I appreciate the fact Maks is "real" too.(maybe too real sometimes,ie,last couple of wks!)
