On to the performance, I could practically find it in any karaoke bar. This is one song you can't do much with except come up with a good karaoke version. There is so much better material to pick from for inspirational rock songs.

James had a good voice but he wasn't original. He evolved into Adam.  He sang this song exactly like the way Season 8 sang it on their tour especially Adam's part. He didn't like being compared to Adam but he evolved into him. He didn't look like that at the beginning. He even copied the outfit, hair, and the pose at the end.

My undying memory of "Don't stop believing" is of the junior varsity cheerleaders of my high school mouthing the words to it in the cafeteria while sitting at their lunch table. A year or so after that I recall a topless dancer performing to the song. I never considered it an "inspirational song" beyond the fact it made me desire certain women.

Yea...Steve Perry is awsome, and I have played 'don't stop Believin", 100s of times, but I think James did sucg a great rendition of the song, he should not have been eliminated..
