Surely there's nothing wrong with pedestrians crossing the road away from crossings? This is the public highway, for use by all, and I feel this is getting just a little too close to the "roads are for cars" brigade.
I think it has been established by now that pedestrians have that right but does it still make sense to cross a busy road where this lady chose to, dragging her child with her? What does this teach the child? As a parent myself I make every effort to teach my son the green cross code. The point of this clip is all about what we are teaching our children when it comes to crossing roads.
@kmcyc The only thing I saw wrong there was the vehicular road users pushing up to them impatiently. No need to accelerate so hard in that situation, especially with standing traffic ahead.
Strangely here, it looks like if she carried on walking there would have been no problem at all...
