At least those millions of German people above were rooting for Japan & reacted like this Coach, Silvia Neid, in this WC Final.

If there is an American superstar like Shinji Kagawa in German BundesLiga above, I'm definitely sure that more German fans would have rooted for USA there.

It's simply because that Japan Men's Players are more popular & famous than the U.S. ones in Germany. I know about Michael Bradely, but Shinji Kawaga, Atsuto Uchida, Shinji Okazaki, and Makoto Hasebe have been more exposed on German Men's BundesLiga; & all of them are playing in the starting lineups for their own team. It's nothing about the stereotypical WWII background. Americans should know that Jurgen Klinsmann cheered for the US on this Match, whereas Pierre Littbarski cheered for Japan.

I'm german and I watched the game, and at first I was for the americans, but then I liked the japanese team too because they were really good. In fact, I liked BOTH teams. And it was a very nice game! The best I have seen in years! It was thrilling until the end, and that's how games are supposed to be. I really don't understand why ppl start hating the german coach for cheering for japan...

Of course, I've always followed the States, so I wanted them to win. But above all I am football lover and I appreciate the good game of Japan, really similar to FCBarcelona I must say.

If I had been Germany's coach I wouldn't have celebrated the USA's defeat, she wasn't celebrating the goals of Japan. She was celebrating the defeat of the team that defeated them in the first place!

The US and Germany have 2 Worl Cup Championships each, and of course the Germans want to be 1st to win the 3rd one, but we will win the WWC 2015 in Canada and the USWNT will be the 1st team with 3 championships. Yes I can see it happenig we will get that 3rd Star in our jerseys.
