I don't think John Astin was that bad as The Riddler. He tried to make the role his own. I'll agree that he looked quite out of shape in those green tights and leotard.
It's to see Frank Gorshin as The Riddler they had the nerve to have John Astin(Gomez from the Addama Family to play the Riddler that was cruel it was like Gomez in a Riddler suit
My uncle had the same laugh.... eerrie When he would laugh, you could not distinguish between the two. Frank Gorshin was a very convincing actor and that laugh is something else!!! Best villian of the series. However, The Joker was the most dangerous of the lot.
The tv batmobile is still one bad vehicle. I still get excited when i hear the vehicle starts up and the plume of fire comes out of the tailpipe, and the sound of jet engine (a dub of course) A bit of trivia, remember when robin would hold on the glass as the vehicle leaves the batcave and we all thought it was cool? He was holding on for dear life.. the brakes were horrible.
