...HA HA what the heck?!! Organisation huh? yeah, that's it bongo boy, pick up the cymbal that adds depth...LOL - I think I played this song on my fischer price musical toys when I was like 3 years old or something.... I am SO glad that Ralf and Florian parted from these bums and became Kraftwerk!!
@NightHawk91 The one on the drums is deathly afraid of the bongo creep...I know because I am. Great vocals, "aaaahhh, aaaaahhh" very thought out stuff. XD
I see Ralf's face & all playing the flute instrument so who is a moron now.Anyway this is Kraftwerk 1 from Kraftwerk 1 cd or album.Organisation was a group the 2 founding members of Kraftwerk were in before Kraftwerk. They only put out 1 small album then formed what we now know as Kraftwerk.Nice post of pre Kraftwerk. Thanks
Meine Fresse!! Klingt das genial!! Schon wieder 'ne "neue", uralte Version von "Ruckzuck"!! Habe ich zuvor noch nie gehört, aber sie hat ihr absolutes Eigenleben!!! Kraftwerk forever...
This isn't organisation. It's the first track of Kraftwerk's first album 'Kraftwerk'. And it's weird to think that this is actually among the ranks of 'The Robots' and 'Autobahn' as a real Kraftwerk song!
The camera seems in drugs, really. There is such a chaos that we can't understand how the whole set looks (there isn't any image with a general view, with the camera motionless, my god!). Ralf is playing the obssessive organ you can hear, an important part of the song. We can only see his hands on the leys in some few shoots. For me it's a shame because I love Ralf's way of playing :S
I think this is the best version of Ruckzuck, although it's nice to see how it developed from then to Kraftwerk's version on their album. Oh, and Basil Hammoundi is funny when he sings... Hehehe.
I never thought I'd see a clip of Organisation. I am stunned. As a dealer, I once did a trade deal and got 6 vinyl reissues of the lp and sold all of them in my shop in 1 week.
Very obscure band and even more obscure and rare lp. Thanks for posting this.
Imagine if Basil Hammoudi on the bongos remained in Kraftwerk to this day...banging away on some electronic rubber bongo set in a green gridlined suit.
I still laugh when after the breakdown the bongo player gets everyone back in at approx 3 mins 15 seconds........tickles me. Is this the only live excursion of Organisation? I do remember posted a couple of years ago there was live footage at a festival and an interview in what looked like a caravan or trailer of some kind. Great stuff!!!!
I used to have Kraftwerk's first two albums (on Vertigo, repackaged with a blue occiloscope design on the cover)but I don't remember it sounding like this. Also "Newton's Apple", a science show on PBS (about 15 minuets long) used part of the flute from Kraftwerk's version.
All of which are good musicians. Kraftwerk formed after three of them left, and it wasn't for a while that they started using the synthetic instruments. I have heard that this band was called Kraftwerk before Organisation as well, but the name was changed for a British audience as the album only had a UK release apparently.
Wikipedia says they played on Beat Club on May 22, 1971, at which point Ralf was no longer with the group. So, if that is correct and if this is that performance, then that is why you don't see him.
I think that in that time, Ralf and Florian woke up one day and realized that they didn't want all that microphone-inevitably-produced feedback(specially by the flute) and so they decided to become all-electro
That dude on bongos is awesome, particularly at 4:30... I can't stop laughing. Glad they kicked him out.
But awesome rarity, indeed. I think they should remaster those first albums (Tone Float, Ralf & Florian, Kraftwerk 1 and 2) as they're part of their history and I see no point in ignoring it like they keep on doing...
This is unbelievable! Didin't know that this group ever existed. Florian's playing is unreal. I would have loved to hear him do an entire album of layered solo flute.
Somehow this reminds me of AIR... but still I'm glad ralf & florian went in the kraftwerk direction. I love this video because I find it funny how the crows goes wild. But I'm starting to appreciate the sound more and more actually.
Glad it is back, a rarity, c'mon Ralf and Florian, let's remaster the first 4 albums including "Tone Float" by Organisation, and make the albums officially available again and this time on CD.
I still say Florian Schneider should have never given up the flute. Yeah, I know he later thought the instrument was too "limiting"...but this video sure doesn't look to me like someone who's being limited.
Whatever happened to the other B&W Ruckzuck video from 1970?
Thanx for posting this up again. I was desperatly disappointed when it had to be taken down. This should be taught to kids at school as its lineage spreads across so much of modern music. Amazing stuu and once again thanyou.
