  • ...HA HA what the heck?!! Organisation huh? yeah, that's it bongo boy, pick up the cymbal that adds depth...LOL - I think I played this song on my fischer price musical toys when I was like 3 years old or something.... I am SO glad that Ralf and Florian parted from these bums and became Kraftwerk!!

  • That one guy looks just like Jonny Greenwood.

  • Trust Florian to be wearing a shirt with his own face on it.

  • @HowPeculiar1 haha, fuck yeah, i think it's genius.

  • Now the question is, which drummer is on more acid, the one who is going crazy or the one who looks almost too scared to move

  • @NightHawk91 The one on the drums is deathly afraid of the bongo creep...I know because I am. Great vocals, "aaaahhh, aaaaahhh" very thought out stuff. XD

  • I see Ralf's face & all playing the flute instrument so who is a moron now.Anyway this is Kraftwerk 1 from Kraftwerk 1 cd or album.Organisation was a group the 2 founding members of Kraftwerk were in before Kraftwerk. They only put out 1 small album then formed what we now know as Kraftwerk.Nice post of pre Kraftwerk. Thanks

  • I love Kraftwerk, but this is awful ;)

  • @KybernetikKollektiv it was over 40 years ago... and it still holds up

  • Is Florian wearing a shirt with his own face on it? Or whose face is that? I really can't tell.

  • @ALXXMaXX looks like a shirt with his own face which I find absolutely awesome and hilarious

  • Meine Fresse!! Klingt das genial!! Schon wieder 'ne "neue", uralte Version von "Ruckzuck"!! Habe ich zuvor noch nie gehört, aber sie hat ihr absolutes Eigenleben!!! Kraftwerk forever...

    Yours,

    Volker ;)))

  • Yes, you see "WDR" in the left corner above, that means "Westdeutscher Rundfunk" - btw!! Thanks for posting this beautiful video!!

  • This isn't organisation. It's the first track of Kraftwerk's first album 'Kraftwerk'. And it's weird to think that this is actually among the ranks of 'The Robots' and 'Autobahn' as a real Kraftwerk song!

  • Hahahaha, this is priceless. The guys from The Fast Show must 've looked at this before they created 'The Jazz Club'. Grrreat.

  • lol at the bongo guy.

  • @terrasidius No wonder they replaced him with a drum machine!

  • At 3:26 This is the shot where the photo of Florian in the inner sleeve of the "Kraftwerk" LP comes from !

  • 8:06 fail, to fucked up to remember to bang the gong

  • he has his own face on his t shirt

  • NEWTON'S APPLE!!!!1

  • is that jimi hendrix at 5.51?

  • oui.

  • The conga player looks stoned.

  • KANZ GTU !!!11

  • were is ralf

  • The camera seems in drugs, really. There is such a chaos that we can't understand how the whole set looks (there isn't any image with a general view, with the camera motionless, my god!). Ralf is playing the obssessive organ you can hear, an important part of the song. We can only see his hands on the leys in some few shoots. For me it's a shame because I love Ralf's way of playing :S

  • "keys" not "leys", sorry

  • Sorry for calling the congas bongos...

Those were the days when TV in Germany was "öffentlich-rechtlich" NO private TV! No casting shows, but avantgarde musicians had a chance!

  • Kraftwerk, the gods of electronis music, with bongos! Unbelievable....

  • I think this is the best version of Ruckzuck, although it's nice to see how it developed from then to Kraftwerk's version on their album. Oh, and Basil Hammoundi is funny when he sings... Hehehe.

  • It's actually kinda soulful. I really learned something about Kraftwerk's past when I found this.

  • Never NEVER thought I'd see any Organisation footage! Is there any more with this came from...?

  • krautrock nights volume 1 or 2

do a bittoreent search u'll find it

    :)

  • I have recently noticed that the photo of Florian in the inner sleeve of the first Kraftwerk LP may come from this video !

  • HIgher Imposible...

  • I know what i'm talking about ...

  • Who's the dude on Florian's shirt? Himself?

    Hilarious...I want one.

  • I never thought I'd see a clip of Organisation. I am stunned. As a dealer, I once did a trade deal and got 6 vinyl reissues of the lp and sold all of them in my shop in 1 week.

Very obscure band and even more obscure and rare lp. Thanks for posting this.

  • Those are congas, not bongos ;)

  • BAD ASS

  • do you know the year?

  • 25th of April 1970

  • With special guest, Michael Richards on bongos.

  • Top comment! Well spotted! Shame we couldn't have Elaine doing the office party dance on stage as well...

  • Imagine if Basil Hammoudi on the bongos remained in Kraftwerk to this day...banging away on some electronic rubber bongo set in a green gridlined suit.

  • ahahaha

  • i hate that percussionist

  • i can hear why hes no longer with kraftwerk ...

  • I still laugh when after the breakdown the bongo player gets everyone back in at approx 3 mins 15 seconds........tickles me. Is this the only live excursion of Organisation? I do remember posted a couple of years ago there was live footage at a festival and an interview in what looked like a caravan or trailer of some kind. Great stuff!!!!

  • lol compare the two drummers and what's going their mind

DRUMMER - "mmyeah i'm cool this is cool we all cool mmmm"

PERCUSSIONIST - "WOW I'M FREAKING OUT ON LYTHERGIC ACID XD"

  • @satanicsquirrel01 Best comment ever:)

  • florian was a hottie back in his young days!

  • the bongo player is annoying. (angry face)

  • the guy is just excited, give him a break

  • Acid rock! lol

  • That drummer is using the thinnest sticks I've ever seen.

  • wow yeah, they're like willow branches.

  • I used to have Kraftwerk's first two albums (on Vertigo, repackaged with a blue occiloscope design on the cover)but I don't remember it sounding like this. Also "Newton's Apple", a science show on PBS (about 15 minuets long) used part of the flute from Kraftwerk's version.

  • Really? I loved Newton's Apple as a kid.

  • Funny, I inverted that and thought you were talking about the Apple Newton, and I thought, "now, that's a weird kid"

  • Ralf Hütter -- Hammond-organ.

Florian Schneider-Esleben -- Flutes, bell, triangle, tambourine, electro-violin, percussion.

Basil Hammoudi -- Glockenspiel, conga gong, musical box, bangos, percussion, voice.

Butch Hauf -- Bass-guitar, shaky tube, small bells, plastic hammer, percussion.

Alfred Mönicks (a.k.a. "Fred Monicks") -- Drums, bongos, maracas, cowbell, tambourine, percussion.

  • All of which are good musicians. Kraftwerk formed after three of them left, and it wasn't for a while that they started using the synthetic instruments. I have heard that this band was called Kraftwerk before Organisation as well, but the name was changed for a British audience as the album only had a UK release apparently.

  • You only see Ralf's hand in this video!

Was he that shy back then?

  • He masturbated A LOT with the other hand.

  • The other hand was too messy to show on TV

  • robots can masturbate?

  • We only see Ralf`s hand because the camera man was a complete moron :)

  • @19861998 yeah! what is the deal with that!

  • @19861998 Moronic ike the crazy bongo boob?.. I AM So glad that Ralf and Florian broke up with these boobs and became Kraftwerk....MUCH BETTER!!

  • Wikipedia says they played on Beat Club on May 22, 1971, at which point Ralf was no longer with the group. So, if that is correct and if this is that performance, then that is why you don't see him.

  • That is correct, but this is not that performance; you can hear him, and you can briefly see his hand - he is playing the organ.

  • I think that in that time, Ralf and Florian woke up one day and realized that they didn't want all that microphone-inevitably-produced feedback(specially by the flute) and so they decided to become all-electro

  • oh man, stoned conga dude is hilarious!

  • The camera men suck big time - Florian Schneider a key musician in the band is hardly viewed :/

  • I agree with you... The cameramen are an assholes...

  • Wiki dates this performance as April 25, 1970.

  • Very rare tape indeed, until it had been posted here of course. I heard about this band as pre-Kraftwerk but never I heard them play.

It must be recorded before 1971.

  • Freddy Mercury on bass. Only one shot of Ralf, and that's his hand

  • Kenny Jones on drums...

  • The comment I replied to has gone, makes me look like an idiot. I KNOW it's not Kenny Jones on drums.

  • Perhaps Kenny was moonlighting from the Faces! LOL

  • That dude on bongos is awesome, particularly at 4:30... I can't stop laughing. Glad they kicked him out.

But awesome rarity, indeed. I think they should remaster those first albums (Tone Float, Ralf & Florian, Kraftwerk 1 and 2) as they're part of their history and I see no point in ignoring it like they keep on doing...

But hey, who am I to tell them what to do...

  • This is unbelievable! Didin't know that this group ever existed. Florian's playing is unreal. I would have loved to hear him do an entire album of layered solo flute.

  • I'm very suprised about this video as I've only known Kraftwerk to do this track. A real treat.

  • Somehow this reminds me of AIR... but still I'm glad ralf & florian went in the kraftwerk direction. I love this video because I find it funny how the crows goes wild. But I'm starting to appreciate the sound more and more actually.

  • Glad it is back, a rarity, c'mon Ralf and Florian, let's remaster the first 4 albums including "Tone Float" by Organisation, and make the albums officially available again and this time on CD.

  • I still say Florian Schneider should have never given up the flute. Yeah, I know he later thought the instrument was too "limiting"...but this video sure doesn't look to me like someone who's being limited.

Whatever happened to the other B&W Ruckzuck video from 1970?

  • Did you find the other b/w video? It's video id is BgpLAPZEf7Y

  • Thanx for posting this up again. I was desperatly disappointed when it had to be taken down. This should be taught to kids at school as its lineage spreads across so much of modern music. Amazing stuu and once again thanyou.

  • WORD UP!!! enjoyed much, thanks.
