i beg to differ on catching shad in certian seasons , i catch shad all year as long as there is open water , you just have to know where to find em

@uglykat26 You are right but in the CREEKS they do not stay all year they move to either the river or the lake that feeds it. I am not disagreeing I just find that they are very few and far between in some seasons.....

@icansnipe shad can only be caught in certain seasons, look for shallow but fast moving water and catch them with a casting net (make sure its legal though)
