  • Even a crappy acoustic kit sounds better than the best digital kit.

  • the double bass really kinda sucks with the hi-hat peddle

  • Hi I'm from spain, ive been playing drums for 1.5 years, and im looking for a drumkit, so at my local music store they are offering me 2 deals

    Deal1: Roland TD-12S - 2,200 euros (special offer)

    Deal2: Roland TD-9kx - 1,800 euros

Which is better? (ask Johny aswell plz) ty :)

  • @legoman915 I would say roland td-9kx i bought it and i am very satisfied, otherwise go to vdrums.com and then forums and ask for help :)

  • how much does a quick play last? i can make a cover of a song of 5 minutes for example and then use the usb to record it and put it on my computer?

  • What's the diference between the TD9K and the TD4KX?

  • @nnqotsa, the module, td-9 has more sounds/more kits, and a little bit more customabablity, i think you can change the cymbal size, i don't know, but both can change the tuning and also muffling, the rack is a little different, and the td-4sx has all mesh pads, td-4(s/sx) whichever, the td-4 is better for beginners, because of those timing excercises, and tempo practicing, but the td-9 has more sounds, more kits, and a better rack, best 4 intermediate drummers, comment back 4 more info

  • "thank you much"

  • hows this kit different from the Roland TD-4SX?

  • I'm deciding between the TD9K or Yamaha DTXpress IV Special Set. I'm a mediocre drummer so i have no special requirementes, just have fun. Which will u recommend?

  • td9k, there both good kids, but nobody beats roland when it comes to quality electric drumkits.

  • roland td9xs it is amazing

  • i played this is a music shop today and it truly is an amazing kit for the price its set at...

  • i have a qustion... can i plub my mp3 into the drums so i can play over the songs i wanna here????

  • All the V-Drums are good! ...the best of the world! I use a SPD 20 TPP and a TD 6KX, and I am very very satisfied!

  • Cant wait for mine =)

And Elcoog you can get more stuff for it dude ive played one, and getting one.

  • you can add 2 more things to it, another 2 way crash and another 2 way pad or 2 single trig pads using a splitter, so technically I think you can have up to 4 single trigger pads.

  • thank you much

  • too much talk, not enough playing! i wanted to see it played... :(

  • Roland... they make some neat toys! I think Mike Snyder forgot to mention the special port on the back that only allows you to use the TD-9 kit with it... kind of makes it difficult for anyone else to use it... not compatible with any other kit.

  • Absolutely false. You will be able to use the TD-9 module as an upgrade to several kits like the TD-3 and TD-6 for example. The cable harness will be included with the module. Trust me, I work for Roland

  • Excellent! I assumed too much, but was hoping to provoke a reply. Thank you for the info VDrummer08. How do you like working for Roland?

  • Stupid fucker

  • I guess what I'm saying is, How do you use this type of port module with a Pintech or Yamaha kit? I highly doubt Roland would sell an adapter for it...? See where I'm going with this?

Also, I'm a fan of punctuation.

  • MikeyVPT, You can still use the module with other kits, you just need the special TRS cables that end with the male port end also. So, you can use it with any kit, really.

  • "Stupid fucker" is all you came up with?!

C'mon... if you're going to be judgemental, at LEAST use some grammar, dude!

    ;-)

  • alright,

    "he is a stupid fucker"

    happy?

  • You've got to be kidding!

Try this: "He is a stupid fucker."

Notice the "upper case" and the "period".

    Hahahaha...

  • hey, what's your problem anyway?

I'm just calling him an idiot because he's all like "How do you like working for Roland?"

  • Hey. I didn't mean for this to get out of hand... and VDrummer DOES work for Roland, aparently. No beef here...

    Truce?!

  • Oh sorry, I assumed you were saying he works for Roland as some kind of insult because he was defending their products.

I apologize for my comments, now I look at them I just feel like an idiot

  • Hey, no problem! We're all just really passionate about this stuff... trust me, I completely understand.

    No hard feelings HamishM150 :-)

  • Hi VDrummer08, ive been thinking about investing in a roland, ive had a go on a few and i think there awsome, but people have told me that on the long run they can have disadvantages because i might lose the feel and touch of an acoustic. are vdrums worth it?

  • Vivement le mois de mars. Je veux la primeur ;-)

  • OUais!

  • Pretty Cool Kit!!!

    SEA

P.S. I have the Yamaha DTXpress IV Special. Both Yamaha and Roland are putting out some good stuff!
