Well, booster packs are not the best way to build a deck. It's better when you buy single cards, but when you are a beginner i would recommend you to buy a complete beginner deck
It typically means tap the card (turn it sideways). Tapping usually means that you are paying a cost for something, but it also means that your creature cannot block until it is untapped again.

I'm still learning, but this is what I've read from the experts. There really is not limit as to how many cards can be in a deck, but there must be a minimum of 60 cards in a deck. As for how much land must be in them; there is no limit (They say that 24 land is a good number-- pending of course on circumstance).... Just keep in mind that the more land you put into a deck the better your chances of drawing land during a game: conversely your chances of drawing other cards decreases as well.

@Judoking96 It doesn't matter, doom blade is an instant, so you can cast it whenever you'd like. Either way, the creature will be destroyed, and the damage will go through to the opponents life total.
That's actually false. If you cast it after your opponent declares blockers, the damage doesn't go through because the attacking creature is still blocked. If you cast it before blockers are declared, the opponent obviously can't block with that creature.
@Reaverofwind No, it's not. If they choose a blocker, you can say "in response, I'll doom blade it". So, in other words, the creature will be destroyed before it blocks the attacking creature. They call it an instant for a reason.
That isn't how it works. Blocking and attacking do not go on the stack themselves. The way it works is that you declare attackers and you have a window to play instants/abilities, then you declare blockers and you have the window again. Those windows do not stack on top of attacking/blocking itself.
When you declare blockers, the creature you block is designated as a "blocked creature" and will not be able to damage you at all (unless it has trample).

Btw, no, it's nothing like Yu-Gi-Oh. Magic was the first big trading card game that came out, and it still is. Most trading card games, like Pokemon, tried to base their rules and stuff off of magic, but magic is way too complex to copy. Yu-Gi-Oh has a completely different system and rules that they play. The two are nothing alike. Btw, kristian, fuck you man. Magic isn't for nerds alone. I'm in college and work at a shipyard and I'm no fucking nerd. So screw you.
yu-gi-oh is more complex inn my eyes (i play both) but because magic as been around longer and has had more sets the deck building idea is more complex
to be perfectly honest playing magic is more about skill while YGO is more about strategy
Well with Yu-Gi-Oh there are really only 3 types of cards, Spell, Trap and monster. With Magic, there are Enchantments, Auras, Spells, Creatures, Instants, Sorceries, ect... There are more combos and stuff that you can do in that game than you can in Yu-Gi-Oh. I also play both.
i don't know lots of nerds play things like this (otherwise people play this are not always nerds but lots of times they are) and its a wast of money, it's just paper you could buy better things like food and clothes and shampoo (lots of nerds have smelling awful schort hair)

I'm tired of these new sets. I mean, we're in a financial crisis right now and its like MAGIC HQ said "oh where can we save money? I know! Research and development!" So now that they don't have guys to make sure the colors are balanced, what did they do? Oh lets just make a set with a million colors so we don't have to! And since multi colored card are significantly more powerful, they're encouraging players to rid of the old cards and buy new ones! what a plan!
There isn't a lot, but you should be able to find some other players. I know of about 20 other people that play at the community college I am going to right now(This is my second year, then off to a university next year). Me and my friends that play MTG got our start from poker. There is a lot of poker players that enjoy MTG along with many other card games. Poker and MTG are actually similar in some aspects, which is what attracted me at first.
I used to play this game back in early 2004. I didn't really get the game too much, it was dull after a few matches, and some cards were mega expensive. My original deck of cards consisted of zombies that would kill other players, as well as myself.

If i play clone to copy a creature with 4/4 flying with an enchant on it, do i get only the 4/4 or i get the enchant as well as a copy?

Copies are only the printed card, anything else doesn't matter (in this case, you will only have a 4/4 creature).

15 cards in a booster pack, there are some great intro packs out there that give you a good foundation to build a deck with.
yes, you can block with more then 1 creature but one will die usually.

yu-gi-oh is more complex inn my eyes (i play both) but because magic as been around longer and has had more sets the deck building idea is more complex
to be perfectly honest playing magic is more about skill while YGO is more about strategy

Well with Yu-Gi-Oh there are really only 3 types of cards, Spell, Trap and monster. With Magic, there are Enchantments, Auras, Spells, Creatures, Instants, Sorceries, ect... There are more combos and stuff that you can do in that game than you can in Yu-Gi-Oh. I also play both.

I'm tired of these new sets. I mean, we're in a financial crisis right now and its like MAGIC HQ said "oh where can we save money? I know! Research and development!" So now that they don't have guys to make sure the colors are balanced, what did they do? Oh lets just make a set with a million colors so we don't have to! And since multi colored card are significantly more powerful, they're encouraging players to rid of the old cards and buy new ones! what a plan!

There isn't a lot, but you should be able to find some other players. I know of about 20 other people that play at the community college I am going to right now(This is my second year, then off to a university next year). Me and my friends that play MTG got our start from poker. There is a lot of poker players that enjoy MTG along with many other card games. Poker and MTG are actually similar in some aspects, which is what attracted me at first.

I used to play this game back in early 2004. I didn't really get the game too much, it was dull after a few matches, and some cards were mega expensive. My original deck of cards consisted of zombies that would kill other players, as well as myself.
