@darthswedo Yeah mine does that too, what you do is hold the sleep button down for a few seconds, then hold both the sleep and home buttons and count to something like 5, then release the buttons, give it a few seconds, and your ipod will start back up for you :D

allrighty then. uumm i got my iTouch 4g to the white screen but no code and instead of it comeing back to life it go's to the screen with the usb port and the tunes icon. the first time it stayed like that then the second time my screen did the samething but with fucked up colors overlaying it. looked like puke colored plad. idk if im doing something wrong here but it would be great if could get some more help. thanks mate.

I have jailbroken 2 devices in the past with greenpoison and never had any problems but now with my new iPhone it won't enter DFU mode, it just goes black and won't turn back on and then it makes me restore. Suggestions anyone?

so you dont need to download the firmware for the jailbreak Just restore and update if needed

just dfu mode, and jailbreak
