I am intersexed and a Christian. It is primarily here in the U.S. that it is a matter of secrecy, shame, and unawareness-other cultures actually respect and revere us as a "third gender". While there is not a set explanation for what causes the variances they fall under intersexuality, it seems to be because of too much or too little estrogen or testosterone present during development.

@kenyaycoleman People respect the third sex in other cultures, because it's assumed you are more pure. Reason? It's not expected that the third gender would ever have sex or get involved in something "humanly" like sex/ masturbation. It's assumed you live and eat and be happy. And so, in other countries where marriages are influenced by families and match making is very complicated, people realize that the third gender probably won't get married.

Also, allowing a boy to play in heels or a girl to wear shorts will not make them homosexual or wanting to transition; I'm sure that most "heterosexuals" (I'm asexual) have dabbled in roles of the other gender at some point in their lives and turned out just fine.

For him to refuse that title, he's saying that God has made a mistake, that he was wrong in making him a man.
