  • from who is the video?

  • the west is best, my flesh lives in it, yet my brain is east. peace.

  • The way Jones has taken all the different elements such as rhythms, vocal samples, flutes etc and brought them all together to make such a subtle, understated yet beautifully hypnotic piece of music is masterful. This track is a masterpiece.

  • Everytime I read the title of this track, I start humming it to the melody of "Candy says" by the Velvet Underground. Everytime...

  • @FischermannsFreund86 "Mullah says I've come to hate the West."

  • The clip is from the movie, "In This World" which is about Afghan boy who dreams of going to London recommend it! Nice music though! :)

  • @aan3

I'm visiting this page for about 2 years with hope that somebody will share the movie title :O

    thanks man!!!

  • amazing drums, this music is wonder!

  • Awesome track :)

  • Thanks.

    Great piece.

  • all i can say i well done peace to you and yours

  • looks like islamabad

  • @waldsonne Islamabad, arguably, is one of the prettiest cities in Asia, if not the world. This is Afghanistan.

  • I love the work of BJ, especially this track, its so dreamy! From which country is the video? Pakistan maybe?

  • this video bring me tears to my face. may the habitants of the planet earth understand the beauty and strenght of our race and defeat the war enemy which makes us combat between ourselves! GOD IS GREAT!

  • Thanks I love the video

  • Muslim is Genius!!

  • Muslimgauze was a phenomenal and politically conscious musician.

  • amazing track* love the sounds...

i love listening to the imamis singing the minaret...

so deep so east so calling from within the core of the earth...

    SIGH

  • hey doublebiceps, if you add in the tags "yt:crop=16:9" (without the quotation marks), the video will just fit the screeen, no window boxing:.... cheers!

  • This is the background music that appropriately accompanies my walks through Broadmeadows, Melbourne.

  • Allah Akhbar! Yes We Can!

  • fajny klimat!!!

  • Essential....

  • WOW! GREAT!!!

  • So beautiful. Amazing.

  • did some one personal make this video and add the music or does is the video related to muslimgauze? either way, suites it beautifully.

  • Hasan bin Sabah, the man of the mountain.

  • just a Masterpiece.

  • They're not sampled 'ethnic drums'. He played most of the instruments himself.

  • I miss him. Bryn had so much more to give. His music makes me chill when the world is screaming around me. I always have his music in my IPOD. Thanks Bryn!

  • @mandraxmachine well... he did release around 200 albums... I don't know if you can expect more from someone.. :P

  • The little kid that is sampled throughout the track is saying "I'm not carrying sneakers" / "No llevo tenis" in Castilian / Spanish.

  • Wow, this is really good. Why didn't Bryn's music get more attention when it was released?

  • @brealistic1970

Because if you looked at the back of the album, there is a disclaimer saying that some of the profits of the albums go to Hezbollah.

  • @99Boogies that just makes it even more awesome XD

  • beautiful

  • 100%

  • BJ RIP !!!

  • de lujoo

    buenisiiimooo!

  • Never forgiven respect...

  • good good!!!!

  • cant say...its beautiful and full of life...

  • can anybody tell me from which movies are these good pictures. very nice i must say maybe even a good movie.

  • Great vid, makes me think and feel. Any vid that can do that in my opinion is a good vid. Very well put together. Thanks for posting this.

  • it makes me think outside my little box, k

  • exactly what i was thinking

  • As a fan of noise and power electronics muslimgauze made immediate sense to me musically, and I can easily enjoy listening to it. The politics and ideas behind it should simply provoke some independent thought, Bryn Jones never came across as the type to preach.

  • any details about video?

  • I'd say it's in Afghanistan or maybe a remote area of north Pakistan.. The voice u hear during the first minutes is the Muslim 'call to prayer' which is sung from the minaret (tower) of every mosque 5 times a day to call the faithful to prayer (it goes like: 'God is great, God is great, there is no god but One God, come to prayer, come to felicity, God is great, God is great, God is great..)

  • At 3.50 they are sacrifying an animal. Muslims can't consumate blood so they have to slaughter animals by cutting their jugular vein, so that the blood gets drained out of the animal's body while it agonizes. It's pretty horrible , lol.

At 8.45 the man is performing the ritual prayer.

    Can't say much more...

  • thats some nasty shit

  • @PloughTheSky At 3.50 they are sacrifying an animal ........and i close the video. Good song.

  • help me out...

i'm into a hell of a lot of extreme and leftfield music

this band has been listed a few timeson blogs which post loads of other artists i like, so i checked them out, but i can't get my head round this?

can you please explain what makes this band good/how to listen to them?

  • This is will not do! if you dont like it, then straight up, you dont like it

people shouldnt teach you how to appreciate something.

stop trying to like something because you think youre supposed to, be your own person.

Muslimgauze isnt for everyone, nor was it meant to, started as a artistic response to political philosophies.

  • please stop trying so hard to be an elitist waste of space.

do you not find that many musics have a personality you need to appreciate before truly understanding the music itself?

if you don't know what i'm talking about, go and be unhelpful somewhere else.

  • i would say you're right simonx, but to try and explain the beauty and melancholy found in sounds and images is too subjective to transcend and defeats the prospect of it being completely personal.

the reason i like this stuff it because i like the music of Skull Disco. muslimgauze's music has similar sounds and ideas. nothing more than that.

  • Whats cant you get your head around?

its stripped down, atmospheric synthetic sub frequency basslines, midi/sampled drums, Ethnic goat skin drum samples, with prime reverb, speech samples reversed and chopped up, ethnic chanting & other instruments including flutes...all sequenced together nicely.. there really isnt all thatvmuch going on here mate. Basically, its beautiful. supposed to be forboding and mysterious... or at least thats how i interpret it! peace.

  • where can i find this video? i mean it's not created by you right?

  • everything is just right!

  • I love it....Muslimgauze is one of my favs.

  • Interesting ........ The video has nothing to do with Palestinians.

  • I love the music of Muslimgauze. While Iw as travelling through these kind of countries there (to make a documantary about sung oral poetry of Badakshan, Tadjikistan) this music travelled with me and put me in great moods. Recorded a lot of traditional and regional music over there.

Great cross over between worldmusic and experiemtal music.

  • too right man! I've just discovered muslimgauze, his music has such incredible depth.

  • @Devito46 hey have you been to Khorog, capital city of Tajik Badakhshan? Beautiful place, lots of very good traditional musicians there, have you had a chance to listen to any Badakhshani music live?

  • Ohhh wait i think i may know. Is it because Quran should not be used with music because it is God's holy book and not a song. Am I correct. Please someone let me know. thank you

    Luv Jenn-

  • yes that is what i meant

  • if thats true anyone who believes that shit is seriously backward

  • please explain to me. I would like to know. please thank you

  • Muslimgauze wasn't a Muslim. He just cared deeply about the Palestinian cause and used the middle eastern samples and titles to draw attention to it.

  • I know he wasn't Muslim. But if he cared deeply for Palestinians he wouldn't use music samples that are against their religion.

  • How does naming yourself after a band that glorifies cannibalism, rape, murder, and necrophilia and posting a video of some dude prancing around with a hardon square with your religion?

  • I didn't name myself after any band.

  • Juggalo is a name for the hardcore fans of the Insane Clown Posse. All your videos are videos from that band. You are a Muslim and release things that are against your religion. Don't be so sensitive if other people do the same.

  • Just because I like the music doesn't mean I like what they say. I listen to it for the instrumentals, not the lyrics.

  • Protip: Not all Palestinians are muslim.

  • Yeah but the majority are. Which makes them a Muslim community.

  • @JUGGALOCO17 you aren't an aalim, who are you to say this song is haraam? you don't get it at all.. you want to make some music (insane clown posse is haram) halal yet you want to make muslimgauze haram? subhanAllah. ALL Music is haram akhi, read surahtul luqmaan.

  • wow that was pretty amazing..
