Thanks and I'm sorry I was ignorant after I read you comment...I'm not usually like that. Did you visit my protest website and see why I'm so down on the NDP? There is a link on my channel page. Peace!
Public insurance is a lemon? Serious, I pay about $600 per year to insure my car. The staff who process my insurance, take my phone calls, and deal with my paperwork are all here in Saskatchewan.
And even with the dirt cheap insurance they offer, they still MAKE MONEY that goes back into public coffers.
If anyone was meddling, it was the Sask Party. Under the NDP, SGI would give out REBATE CHEQUES when they made money... Profit sharing!!! Under the Sask Party... Nothing!
It's demographics that determine costs - if we had competition it might even be cheaper here - as for SGI - I guess you haven't yet had the experience of having your rights trounced...I hope you never do.
I don't think private insurance is the answer either, but I really, really, really hate SGI. At least with privatized insurance the people trying to rob you don't also make the laws!
Dear Non-Saskatchewan Residents: You should know that if you do not reside in Saskatchewan - and are here visiting [doing business etc.,] and - [heaven forbid] you were to get into any accident - [a drunk driver hits you - or any accident that you are NOT at-fault for] - just know that YOU CANNOT sue the local driver - you will be 'processed' under the NDP no-fault legislation! No matter who you get insurance from at home - you will be compensated under the Sask no-fault legislation.
After reading all your comments, I would ask that you park your car and give up your right to drive, its jack asses like you who would fake a neck injury just to sue the person who ran into you. I, as a Saskatchewan resident, don't want to share the roads with people like you.
What the hell are you talking about? If you read anything I have posted here or on my protest site you would see that I do not drive - I was on a peddle bike when I was hit. I wouldn't fake any injury but you would fake intelligence - right...
i don't mind having sgi. we have the lowest auto insurance rates in canada...by far. and sgi isnt just in it for the profit like private insurance companie. they give back millions to their customers each year and continue to reduce rates. i want rates i can afford. if we had other options then we would be paying a whole lot more for our auto insurance.
Incorrect - the price of insurance is set by demographics [and supply and demand]. Where a population is small there could not be rate 'gouging' as one might see in bigger population centers also - the more vendors providing the service - the better the competitive pricing. Do you recall how much long distance used to cost when it was only Sasktel - have people paid more after deregulation? No.
In your praise of SGI you avoid the issue of their no-fault nonsense along with their SIU department's abuses. Without a doubt people here ought to be able to buy private auto insurance - whether not SGI is Privatized. Why is SGI afraid to compete with private insurers?
I don't know and I don't care. Driving and owning a vehicle is a privledge not a right, therefore auto insurance should be a privledge too.
ps- the price of insurance is not set my demographics. how come places with less vehicles and smaller populations like newfoundland all have higher insurance rates? maybe its becaue sgi spends about $0.16 for every dollar of coverage provided, whereas private auto insurers in other provinces spend on average $0.28.
SGI pays nothing for the injury nor for the pain and suffering - only medical and lost wages [not a fair amount/process] one has to have a permanent impairment to see any other compensation. That is unfair.
thats weird since the bank had no problem taking the cheque that sgi gave me for the "pain and suffering" related to a broken jaw and 5 inch scar on my face, as a direct result of my accident
Q: Driving and owning a vehicle is a privledge not a right, therefore auto insurance should be a privledge too. R: Typical 'could be worse' excuse - where does 'privilege' come into it within the current structure? Driving is a "privilege" but unfettered insurance options within a free and democratic system - is a right. That is a right that is absent in Saskatchewan. SGI has been in business a very long time and the people here have never had the same rights here as in Alberta.
SGI makes no payments for injury nor for pain and suffering - so SGI is probably spending more like 8 cents on the dollar - where proper tort insurers are spending thirty cents on the dollar. This insurance company called SGI - was formed to serve the needs of this province - it is now making a profit on the suffering of Saskatchewan people! SGI makes even more profit by underwriting all forms of insurance - in the insurance markets in the rest of Canada...
freedom in socialist Saskatchewan is a huge variable...as for making our own decisions - what a crock - you cannot make your decisions about auto insurance...yup that's freedom!
"...AND ALL THE MORONS AND ALL THE STOOGES WITH THEIR COINS THEIR THE ONES WHO MAKE THE RULES..."
STOOGE: A person of unquestioning obedience
TOO OFTEN 'THE PEOPLE' ARE PLAYED AS MORONS AND END AS STOOGES...BUT 'THE PEOPLE' MAKE THE RULES - THE PEOPLE OF SASKATCHEWAN DO NOT YET UNDERSTAND THE NEED FOR PUBLIC AUTO INSURANCE CHOICE IN SASKATCHEWAN - ESPECIALLY NOW WITH SGI SELLING PRIVATE AUTO INSURANCE IN ALL BUT THREE OF CANADA'S PROVINCES
No no you didn't do anything wrong - that you were blocked was a fluke I'm glad that you alerted me to that - oh and - I do think you're a great person!
Listen you posted too many posts in a row - you don't listen and you don't discuss - you only post your opinions - without due consideration - so now you're blocked. Sorry...
It's all about money and power for socialists too...only in that system they decide who gets the money and who has the power. In a proper capitalist state healthy competition decides - you decide.
Freedom obviously is 'to have immunity from an non-arbitrary obligation or duty' - and - 'the power to act or speak or think [or choose insurance etc.,] without externally imposed restraints' - in this context it means a freedom from socialist programs like SGI - programs that obligate people to patronize 'them exclusively' - with no other choice. Oh and the word 'molest' is a very poor choice of a word and do try at least to spell check your postings.
SO why don't we give junkies their needles? and pedophile's their prey? Freedom in its defitition, is the abiliy to do whatever he fuk you want! And you don't see a problem with this? CUrrent capitalism is destrying the planet that gives us life! Individuals with limited ethics and intelegence run our society for only those scum would be ruthless enough to compeate with entities that do not recognize the mankind factor only short term capital gain.
Your post has the facts WRONG again [for example - there IS a needle exchange. China and Russia had/have more 'socialism' than anywhere and - there has long been an ecological disaster there too. Socialism isn't going to save anything. I'm not engaging in a circular discussion with you. If you want proper discussion then your posts should reflect that...[as they don't right now]
Freedom in context HERE: Socialism presents governments with powers that they do not need. While governments may sell insurance FREEDOM governments don't FORCE everyone to be their customers - such 'no choice' programs leave NO room for dissension in the population - with no means to choose a practical dissension - by taking your business elsewhere - this is only one example of how socialism means NO freedom.
The NDP and their "socialist agency" refuses Saskatchewan residents PRIVATE INSURANCE choices! SGI is in serious contradiction and conflict of interest - as they sell insurance in provinces where there is private insurance but - no private insurance choice for Saskatchewan residents!
Oh please - you don't know how videos are made and - I wasn't walking - to the building - in fact SGI was two blocks away in the video and - the point of the video is clear...Saskatchewan's NDP with their 'one choice' socialist insurance company - is not freedom respecting and thus - undemocratic.
Hey you mentioned in another posting that the NDP are at 29% in the polls. Yes isn't that grand! Yup that means the only ones voting for them are card members and their paid voters in the crowns! :)
It's been nearly five years with the implant abuse - nearly ten since the accident - i did receive some payment for permanent impairment but they nickeled and dimed me and that is what started the rest of the problem - when I started to complain and bug them for proper consideration - better than protesting would be letters to the government and your MLA - but protesting the NDP over its SGI is also an option for everyone.
