The same thing has happened to me. When I was 3 I lived in Hawaii and my dad was stationed with the marines at pearl harbor. Me and my mom moved here to Minnesota ( I know it fucking sucks) and he didn't come with us. I was raised by two married women. I honestly feel I would rather have a father just around me than not have one. It has impacted my life a lot. Mostly because a lot of fathers poke harmless fun at their kids and joke around. Women nurture them and care for them. when i graduated from elementary school my mother died cuz she was an alcholic. and then i grew up with a father that fights every day with my sister and he takes his anger out on me. not that he abuses me or anything but he yells and blames shit on me. I know how you feel about your dad cuz my dad isnt really like one either hes more like a friend when he should be a dad

When I was 2 years old my parents divorced. When I was 7 years old my mother and her new husband went to Thailand. Then it came a tsunami. My mother died and her husband survived. Now I am 14 years old and living with my dad and sister. just wanted to share that ( not good at english )

I was raised by two married women. I honestly feel I would rather have a father just around me than not have one. It has impacted my life a lot. Mostly because a lot of fathers poke harmless fun at their kids and joke around. Women nurture them and care for them. I only had the nurturing so while at school, I wasn't used to the adult male thought process. I took everything that was said or done to heart. That's just my opinion, though.

pwn im not sure if u already do, but i think, when u can, have your mother live with you. in my culture (im east indian) when the boy gets married and can support a family, he should keep his parents (in your case ur mother) with you as a way of saying "its ur turn" to support your parents.

Guess im one of the lucky ones then. My birth was a mistake (even though me mom won't admit it) My dad didn't have an education or a place to live. He smoke, drank and did drugs, but luckily when i was born, he went to rehab and got himself and education which took him about 6 years to finish.

when I was 3 my "dad" left my mom with me. she worked HARD to support me and luckily my real father who actually raised me stepped in to this relationship and made me who I am today. we dont say "I love you" all that much but its already known. im 17 and still when he says that to me i cry a bit everytime and realize that my "dad" is really missing out on something.

my mum left my father when i was 2,i dont know who made the decision to leave,when i was 13 i didnt like my dad because i thought he had hurt my mum in the heart :/ but then i found out he had cancer :( i went to see him when he was released from hospital,he said tht he love me and i believed him,it was such a sad moment,i hadnt seen him for 11 years :( i hugged him and he said he was tired so we left,only and hour after he died in his sleep :( R.I.P Dad!! lots of love !! your son ! :)
