oh no no no! That would waaaaaaaaaay too hard! lol. I used the chroma keyer. It works essentially like a green screen. if you have a clip where there's basicly a solid color in the background you add the chromo keyer effect and it'll make a particular color transparent. I'm REALLY bad at trying to explain things but if you look up "sony vegas chroma keyer tutorial" here on yt I'll bet you can find a vid that will show you how it works. :)
