pretty cool, i subbed:) i might want to get this camera, but i heard somewhere that avchd is bad for editing and that there are better formats, is that true? i either want to get the hmc 40, the JVC GY HM100U, or a canon dlsr. u got any sugestions. i just want to make sure that after editing and fx on a pc it turns out well like this and not all choppy like 300$ cameras. also what do you render to? i sometimes use mp4 but it turns out bad, what do you reccomend?
@quintropolis10 Well thanks for the sub bro! ACVHD is fine for editing in FCP, its converts it to ProRes 422. I havent worked on that specific JVC although it sure seems really nice. The HMC-40 or a Canon DSLR is the way to go if you want pro looking stuff but are still on a budget. I render full HD as a Quicktime conversion so it outputs it to a .mov file.

HOW, does this only have 300 views! im thumbing up subscribing and recommending to friends . this was AWESOME!!! it had a funny/good plot, enough characters ( because its bad when theres only like 2 people it looks ghetto), good acting, good cameraman, good color correction, good fx, this was AWESOME!!! and just reading the description alone answered my question, i want to do fx videos like this and im looking for a good camcorder, so im gonna get the panasonic hmc-40. do u rcmd caM? ur awesome!

It's tricky to get any sort of acknowledgment with everyone on Youtube putting out fantastic stuff, which I suppose is a good and bad thing. The HMC-40 is a real solid camera at decent price, a really good cam to start out with and it can withstand some solid abuse. I def recommend it. Good luck with your vids!

@TheDangerousBrew Personally I am of the mindset that putting anything to do with Jack White audio related or otherwise in a video inherently makes it fantastic.
