Hi! I was taking vitamins b4 surgery but I changed to liquid vit as soon as I got home from the hospital. You should go ahead and start taking them now. You have the good kind:-)
Grats on your surgery! Glad to hear you're doing so well! I started on vitamins day one. Basically, if you can stomach it, start but it wont kill you to wait a few days. I also did the EAS product. I LIVED on that stuff for my first week!! And for the record...I already like you, just because you ride Mike about his vitamins! :) GL Girl, I'll be watching!
Hey girl Glad u doing well I startted my Vitamins after the mushy stage closer to when I was eating normal diet. Your dr knows best if u can take them now its good for u.
Hey, congrats on your surgery. I started on my chewable vitamins as soon as I got home. I am almost 5 months post op and use muscle milk almost daily for either lunch or breakfast. It is awesome, great for protein, low in sugar and carbs!!! Just stay focused and follow the doctor's orders and all will continue to go well. ....Jeff
HAHAH I AMM.! I AM.. LOL... well I think I've slipped up today...I don't recall taking them..i need to get the bariatric advantage flavored ones...YOU'RE REALLY PREPARED !!! good for you!
i can not remember when i started taking my vitamins, but i think it was within the 1st week or so. you need to ask your doctor these types of questions. if he says take them, then take them. done! i like the mm light shakes, they are a bit sweet, but after the 1st few sips it grows on you. drink it! just drink until you get full/satisfied. do not think about how many ounces. you will probably only need a little at a time. are you walking? walking gets rid of the gas. do it! Onward!
I started my vits the day I got home from surgery. My schedule is:chewable MVT first thing in AM, along with 5,000mcg Biotin and a probiotic pearl. Mid-AM: 2 chewable calcium (500mg total). Mid afternoon: 2 chewable calcium again. Dinner: 2nd MVT. Evening (about 8-9pm) 2 chewable calcium. This gives me 1,500mg calcium and doesn't have it interfered with the iron in my MVT. The Biotin and probiotic was recc by my doctor. That's it!
I have not had my surgery yet, but I did discuss these things with the nutritionist today. She said to not take the calcium and iron together. They should be taken at least 2 hours apart. She also told me to take the vitamins the first morning I wake up at home.
what is muscle milk like what does it do? do u notice a change in how ur feeling as far as when u drink if u feel full or satisfied? or does it feel different when it goes down?

I would start on the vitamins immediately; to make it a habit & to get your body ready for surgery. Good luck! :)
