@prowler10393 trx has full alba exhaust, stg 2 hotcam and moddified airbox, my ktm has 13.5:1 piston, moddified airbox, some carb moddifications and a full hmf.
in reality the bikes are more even. i have a rekluse pro that helps me get off the line quicker. and the boy riding the trx usually rides a yfz. its the lad who is strating us who owns the trx and he had his acl in his knee rebuilt 4 weeks ago.
Was those rebuilds before or after that 13:5:1 piston?
I know the KTM's are pretty well built from the factory, i figured they'd be a little bit more maintence happy than my predator is ( i rarely have to do anything to it ).
the valve's don't bother me, it's the piston and bottom end rebuild's that kinda make cringe haha.
i probably won't be taking it to any motorcross track, but i do drag race and i'm planning on getting into circle track racing
if you have to keep fixing it, it's because you keep wrecking it. i owned mine for 3 years now and changed the oil a couple times, just changed front wheel bearings, and cleaned/lubed everything. NOTHING on the bike has worn prematurely or broke.the engine hasn't been touched either.
i'm sorry but you people who complain about predator's reliability are the ones who beat the sh!t out of your quads. go ahead and buy a KTM, and ride it the same way, you'll have the same problem
if you're predator is an 03 the trans is understandable...what intake boot are you running? if you do alot of jumping and have the stock one i can see why your carb is plugged up. the stock boot isn't the greatest.
everything else shouldn't be wearing out like that unless you ride the bike ALOT. my quad goes through a ton of mud and wet sand and i just replaced my bearings.
@ridin4life100 Power, being small and light, and practicing getting your body oin the right place - forward enough so front doesn't flip, and back enough to get traction
@ktmstick i know that, didnt mean it that way, i though u said u had some kind of part. i thought u might have the holeshot device but ur front end came up so u couldnt have that. ik
trx shouldnt of lean so far forward and stay there.... retard

What's all done to the quads?
i was looking at getting a 505 SX, and was wondering if it's worth the cash. I came across one marked down a good chunk from retail.
That's pretty impressive though to smoke that TRX like that.

the ktm is worth the money if you can adfford it and manage to maintain it.
you've got to ask yourself whether you want to do pistons at 20hrs, valves at 40hrs and bottom end rebuilds at 50hrs?
anything else you want to know just ask.
cheers

thats a 3rd gear start by the way, which also helps.

@ridin4life100
what type of racing?
what's wearing out prematurely and/or breaking?
i'm pretty hard on sprockets and clutches, bearings, bushings....pretty hard on the engine.
i'm curious because i have 2 predators and had zero issues with either.

@prowler10393 trans, wheel bearings like 4 times, sub frame broke off the mount, carb is bogged like crazy, and new piston and cam
