  • Want this trailer reedited for the Blu Ray release later this year! There's advert for original Bond films!

  • so epic

  • I think he's attempting re-entry, sir.

  • This trailer was used on the Bond videos in 1996. Early print runs also included a Barclaycard advert with Rowan Atkinson. The ones I remember are:

    GF, DAF, LALD: The wedding

    TMWTGG, LTK: Snake bite

    TSWLM: Pen

    FYEO: Binoculars

    AVTAK, TLD: Ambassador

Sad question, but what was on the others?

  • This is the trailer you will see in the VHS Goldeneye movie. I remember watching Goldeneye when I was just a kid, this Trailer was before the movie started. I was like, what the heck is this?! Its so cool! But then the Goldeneye movie itself was the first time I saw Pierce and to me HE and only HE was the real bond. He looked like a "Bond". I didnt understand much at that age, but I knew Goldeneye was a serious Bond movie, compared to the others! The others are like more, chilled up and relaxed!

  • I used to love this trailer, I watched it all the time hahahha :L Especially loved the "You have a nasty habit of surviving" one hahah :p

  • The Bond films always had a way with double entendres, didn't they?

  • @TheWiseRat22 Thanks v much Wise Rat. To be honest Bond is so good the trailer virtually made itself. I have seen your "Quantum" and "On Her majesty's SS" trails - speaking of talent - you have loads! Very nicely plotted and executed. Are you in the TV biz? Best regards m

  • Wow I used to love this promo. Not long after Goldeneye , I got bit by the 007 Bug and bought the VHS collection back in the whatever it was. 95 or 96?

  • I remember buying the VHS set in the 90's and this was the highlight of watching each film for me, the trailer!!! Brilliant cut of all the films

  • this was a good one

  • I love this trailer.

  • Thanks Guys - I made this trailer back in 1996 and your comments are lovely. I've left the BBC and am working for an HIV AIDS orphan charity in South Africa which feeds the kids and has built an amazing solar powered house with windmill. Here's the first cut of the film, tell me what you think. Best wishes mx

  • Hi

The link didn't appear - can you include it again?

  • @doublezoinks Hello Again i was just hoping to ask a question how much does a basic film editor get paid? i know its depends on their level of experiance but a rough guess.. would help if its to much of a personal sort of thing dont worry you dont have to reply! Kind Regards

  • What a classic superb Mr Bond!!!

  • "This is the part I really like!"

  • super trailer!

  • Comment removed

  • Such a great trailer!

  • This is the best trailer ever! They should use it today too, but just fixed it a little and made it like it's matching today.. in a way XD :D YOU HAVE.. A NASTY HABIT.. OF SURVIVING!

  • You know what they say about the fittest?

  • this is like the best trailer ever

  • 0:38 - She's very sexiful!

  • I just ordered Bond! Vol 1 & Vol 2 on Blu Ray Vol 3 release date is Mar 24, 2009

    I can't wait! Yeah! 007 BaBY!

    BTW GREAT post thanx!

  • One of the best compilations I've ever seen! Was great to watch this again, thanks so much :-)

  • ROGER MOORE ES UNA MIERDA

  • Thanks the trip down memory lane , fun stuff.

  • Hahah, " You have .. A nasty habit .. for surviving! DUDUDUUUDUDU! " :- D coool!

The old bond movies are better than the new ones. They don't have the traditional Bond character and spirit.

  • i remember this on my GE vhs hahhah

  • the old bonds are still better than the new ones

  • casino royale was 1952 by the way nice trailer

  • Well, there have been several films called Casino Royale: a TV drama in 1954, a spoof comedy in 1967 and Daniel Craig's 2006 adaptation. The book was 1953. You're right, this trailer is awesome. i wish I'd made it...

  • This is from the UK.

  • The editor create it in London and it was on the start of UK PAL VHS tapes of Bond films from 1996. I don't know if it was exclusive to the UK or not.

  • It is, because I have never seen it on any US Tapes before.

  • It appeared on Australian releases also

  • @dangale

It was. Only because there was a different version of it was made for the US VHS releases, but it was shorter, and it had a different montage. I wish it was made again, with the clips from the current films added to it (GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, Die Another Day, Casino Royale, and Quantum Of Solace).

  • wots the theme at 0:30 - 0:37 please?

  • The music from 00:07 til 00;37 is 'gunbarrel' from the For Your Eyes Only soundtrack, it's therefore the first bit of music featured in that film.

  • "shake it"

    "shake it"

did anyone see that little man near the end clappin like mad?brill vid!

  • Anyone notice that this is rather skewed towards the Roger Moore movies? There's a lot of clips from A View to a Kill in there. Almost none of On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Bloody good trailer though!

  • It's interesting that this was released in 1996 but it doesn't contain any clips from GOLDENEYE (1995). Then again,

I don't think much of that film so I'm pleased they didn't to be honest...

Yes, it is a cracking bit of editing.

  • IIRC, there was a trailer for GoldenEye directly before this on the old Bond VHS'. I suppose also they wanted to keep the two brands separate- classic Bond and new Bond.

  • i like the other one, it takes more than 1 bond......

  • Which one are you referring to? Can you send a link?

  • youtube got rid of it because of copy rights, em the 1 with the scottish man speaking, and all of the james bond films up 2 tomorrow never dies.

    soz mate

  • the music at the start is from for your eyes only brilliant trailer *****

  • Why have you picked your name to be that!? Moonraker is a bit silly but it's well made, it's not as flat and uninteresting as The Man With the Golden Gun, which doesn't have any excitement in it at all! Maybe you should be called "Moonraker is ok considering...."

  • a brilliant trailer indeed

  • I remember this! Love it!

  • a have this collection, i complete in 2003 and later try to get the 40 aniversary collection, but i can´t get all. 4 i need to complete it: dr no, goldfinger, the spy who loved me and a view to a kill. now thanks to god i have complete the ultimate collection.

  • I remember this old trailer. it was on the old VHS releases from the 1990's. The Ultimate Edition DVDs are the best for Bond right now.

  • Vhs suck

  • Hell ya!

  • In 1996 i bought the complete vhs collection - in 2000 i got the complete dvd collection in 2003 i bought again the comlpete collection inc. Die another day, then in 2006 bought the complete ultimate editions dvd by far the james bond franchise is the most expensive in home entertainment. ( Though worth it)

  • bond rules!

  • I see.

  • Trust me. The Ultimate 007 DVD 4-Volume Collection is cooler instead of the 16 VHS tapes to single handedly collect.

  • I'm sure it is. But it doesn't have as impressive a trailer as this. I'm not trying to advertise the DVDs or VHSs, I'm highlighting this great bit of editing.

  • prefer the VHS"s caus of the shitty trailer?

  • No, I'm saying this trailer - made to advertise the films when VHS was the only option - is more professionally edited, more amusing, more skillfully put together than the one used to currently advertise the DVDs of the Bond films. The current trailer is not as good.

  • i agree.

  • WAIT A MINUTE!! Is this the VHS collection starting with Dr. No and going to Licence to Kill? I should suggest getting all 20 films in the ultimate dvd collection, cause it is cooler than getting 16 in the video collection.

  • I remember that trailer very well, me and my best mate always used to impersonate it.

  • James Bond is so freakin' awesome.

  • Bond 4ever !!!

  • Wow, this has impressive editing for 1996!

  • Thanks so much for posting this - I'm the bloke who made this trailer back in sunny 1996. It was a great pleasure to work on, and I remember the MGM clients were a lovely bunch. But how could you go wrong with such tremendous films? Best wishes
