  • wich kind of plant is this. ??

  • @iitsnatural The Telegraph plant is a tropical plant usually found in Asia – but also in the South Pacific. The plant has the amazing ability to shake its leaves (which rotate on their axis and jerk up and down).

  • Oh, by the way, lovely music and video!! :) 5 stars :)

  • What is the purpose of this movement? It can't be to alter shade, or warn off animals that might eat it? i'm clueless.

  • Could it be to point its leaves in the direction of the sun to maximize absorption throughout the day? There's also the possibility that it moves to scare away bugs, or knock them off. Bugs eat leaves sometimes.

  • i think they might be reacting to the vibration of the music moving across the air.

  • @Pig560 lol nice

  • nice music

  • Nope, this is ONE in the world plant, whith can move their leaf by "listening" music.

  • its desmodium gyrans!! not mimosa. thats touch sensitive.the desmodium moves its leaves without an external stimulus,,some say that noise provokes it into moving, but mine pretty much moves all the time, even if the room is silent. cool to watch!!: )

  • Hi there,
