Hmmm you should learn maybe a couple of pharses. things you will need when you go shopping or want to buy a ticket for the tram and so on. I guess the family you stay with will help you. Here in Vienna we have many citizens who can't even speak German so don't worry about it! ;)
when you are in the central city you don't need to know much german, lots of people speak english, but in the residential areas it helps but you don't need to speak that much. There are automats (vending machines) for the tram tickets and you can select english. I was there for 2 months and learnt a bit but you should think about what you will be doing and try to comprehend what they say, easier than remembering what to say. you're only there for 2 weeks so don't worry, won't have to learn much
Hi! normally you should not have problems, when you can speak English. I think you don't have to learn German, the most people can speak at least a bit Englisch... I'm from Vienna and i think you will survive!

Podałem prosty fakt, prawo unijne jest ponad prawem "narodowym", nawet konstytucją. I tego się trzymają sondy. Konstytucja Polska zakazywała ekstradycji obywateli polskich, mimo to, było około piec przypadków, gdy polskie sondy nakazały ekstradycje.
A co myśleć o coraz większej integracji? O tworzeniu narodu "europejczyków", pomyśle na wspólne wojsko i policje? Co myśleć o tym, że politycy wstają, jak odgrywany jest "nie hymn" UE.

Idea Unii Europejskiej powstała stosunkowo niedawno, bo 1992 roku w Maastricht i nigdy nie była wspaniała. Dobra była idea Wspólnoty niepodległych państw, Unia jest zła.
Obawiam się, że agonia może trwać i ponad 100 lat. Europa zachodnia jest bogata i nawet gdyby UE zamieniła się w państwo na wzór ZSRR, to i tak ze dwa pokolenia by to wytrzymało.

I will be living in Vienna for 3 weeks this summer before traveling to Medjugorje. How much German should I prepare for? I speak no German but all English! Lil nervous living with an all German family. Two people stay with speak English. Should I study a lot of German?

Hmmm you should learn maybe a couple of pharses. things you will need when you go shopping or want to buy a ticket for the tram and so on. I guess the family you stay with will help you. Here in Vienna we have many citizens who can't even speak German so don't worry about it! ;)

when you are in the central city you don't need to know much german, lots of people speak english, but in the residential areas it helps but you don't need to speak that much. There are automats (vending machines) for the tram tickets and you can select english. I was there for 2 months and learnt a bit but you should think about what you will be doing and try to comprehend what they say, easier than remembering what to say. you're only there for 2 weeks so don't worry, won't have to learn much
