@pianoplayer28 Thank you. His music is still available on record, and he remains very active (particularly in the Far East). Of course the music is not really 'his' - he just plays what others have written or arranged for him!
I love piano music, my brother plays it, I learnt it a bit when I was young, but for I'm not living at home any more, I just enjoy the plays I find on the Internet, thank you for playing so beautiful, best wishes :-)
Excellent!... I wish you were my teacher in piano way back years ago...lol. Now I am interested in practicing again when I saw you playing. Sir thank you, you made me love to play piano again.
Thank you. I'm afraid I don't teach piano at all, but I'm very glad to have encouraged you to get practicing! I hope you get a lot of pleasure from playing.
Dear Mr. Sear, since 5 hours ago that I have had the honour of discovering you, I have been absorbed in your personal website, your wonderful activities in classcial and contemporary music, your fantastic arrangements, and watching about 25/530 of your fantastic video recordings that are performed so artistically by you.
I'm so impressed by your great talent and your aesthetical musicality... To write this message to a professional musician & pianist like you, is really great honour for me...
As a listener & admirer of Paul de senneville since 1985, I always wished once I could listen to a perfect, artistic recorded interpretaion of de Senneville's music (other than R.Clayderman), by a great classical pianist; and today, as listening to your professionally and perfect performance, my wish has been fulfilled!
Dear Professor Sear - the great pianist; Showing my most cordial reverences for you, I'm so grateful to you for recording such a simple (but douce & sincere) piece of piano.
Thank you very much indeed - I am not worthy of such praise! I'm only sorry that the sound quality is not better - but my videos were never intended to compete with commercial recordings.
I know that many professional-classical pianists underrate Clayderman, as well as the composers or arrangers related to him. However, as a music-teacher I must admit that he 'opened a window' for many teenagers to classic-music, and I respect him for that. Thanks for uploading.
I don't like Clayderman as a pianist so much.. but Seneville's works are beautiful, and also they're easy to play.. This made me remember of an Argentinian pianist called "Príncipe Kalender" (Kalender Prince), who had a beautiful piano piece called "Vals del Recuerdo" which clayderman ruined with some bad arrangements.. I'd like to send you the sheet one day, and the original interpretation (not Clayderman's).. So you can have a very unknown work to publish..

If I may call you Paul. You play the piano with love and it shows and it touches those that have love in their hearts.
If I could play the piano well, I would like to play like you do!
Simply be with the music and the piano is indeed creating true Art.
Thank you for performing this beautiful song.

Hey is this guy wonderful or what? I must collect his music and play for fun.
Yeah, I thought it was Richard that composed this. Don't you love classics? it is free for the taking, oh yeah.
UnitedPebbles 10 months ago
@UnitedPebbles Thanks. It is a common misconception that Clayderman wrote all the music he plays!

That was beautifully played. I have been a fan of Richard Clayderman for 30 years when his music was on records.

Excellent interpretation. Is the beginning the quotation of Bach's prelude? I must get the book and have a go.

Thanks for your comment. There is a very superficial similarity, but I don't think there is any intentional imitation.

Thank you. In retrospect, de Senneville and his team were pioneers of what we now call 'crossover'.
