Thar a bheith Greannmhar. Beadh se go hiontach seo iomlan le Daire a dheanamh tri Ghaeilge i rith SnaG nó am eigean. Piosa beag poiblíocht don theanga .
I've just watched 5 minutes of this guys program on TG4.
It seems to consist of him walking around Dublin trying to speak to people in Irish. Then trying to make them look stupid for not knowing what he is saying, just because they haven't had the same background or interest in the language as him.
sceal mor ar fad faoth an feckin fada. Cen fath? B'fieder nach bhfuil se rudai go h'iontach ar fad. ach B'feider go bhuil se ar eaghan nos. Ach Nil ioghas agam ar an ait ar mo fada anois. agus mo 'spelling'.!
Ah this was priceless, Very well done, Manchán and Dara! Funny feckers, the two of you. RTÉ should give ye a show. The funniest video I've seen in a long long time.
The Irish should preserve and promote keep their gaelic langauge, and also Scots gaelic for Ulster, and throw out the Catholic Church, and then they might achieve a united Ireland.
I really wish this had some subs... I mean, is brea liom Dara O[fada] Briain, ach I wish I could understand more of what he was saying because I'm sure I'm being left out of a laugh or two.
And I don't. Thanks to the fact that there's no subs, I really feel motivated now to learn at least some gaelic and I guess you should feel motivated to extend the knowledge you already have.
are you sure it is irish [i]accent[i], rather tahn irish language?! as a non-native, I must say that it's quite far fetched to give it the lable [i]english[i]
Jesus, cé hé an geek olmhór seo... tá sé ag gearán faoi easpa bród sa teanga agus é á mharadh. labharann seo i slí comh mínáidúirthe... Droch gaeilge san iomlán. sin a mhéid
Hehe... cho greannmhar.. ;) Is maith liom Dara Ó Briain, nó Dara O'Briain.. is cuma liom mar fada in anim aige, ach ceapaim ba ceart do duine ar bith ainm le fada a scríobh, ma bhfuil fada i ainm sin.
Níl fada agam ... mar is Gearmánach mé.. hum..
(Agus gabh mo leithscéal as mo drochgaeilge.. níl ro-mhór gramadach agam.. agus mar chaill mé cúpla fada i trácht seo.. tá bron orm.. )
Dara was on Jonathan Ross's show, and there was a clip of Dara when he was bright eyed and bushy tailed when he was presently morning kid's tv on TG4, and Jonathan Ross asked what language he was speaking! He didn't realise there was such a language as Irish! And then Dara replied that the language had a special place in his heart and it is the language he converses with his father in. And then when asked to say something in Irish Dara said I have big hairy balls or something!
In his defence he probably doesn't have much of an opportunity to use his Gaeilge, I think he probably only uses it when he sees his Dad, and I think he may live in England. Didn't he say there nil chonai orm Eireann?

Is aisteoir den chéad scoth é Dara Ó Briain.
Tá ceist agam, conas a déarfá 'comedian' as Gaeilge? Ní 'fear ghrinn' é, mar ciallaíonn fear ghrinn 'clown'.
