  • thats not the site, the site has three trees only. and now only one tree exists.

  • @keni216 This is the site. You walk through the trees and out onto the isthmus. None of the trees remain at the actual site.

  • Either Zodiac was from the area or he had visited Berryesa prior to the attacks. That place is way out in the middle of nowhere I don't think a serial killer would just choose it out of the blue as a murder location. My guess is that, for whatever reason, Zodiac felt comfortable at Berryesa. He was also incensed by seeing a young man and woman together at his special place. He had the hood, he had the knife, he had the bindings. As far as Z was concerned, there was only one course to take.

  • I have a life and I love reading about serial killers...doesn't make one a loser...I defend you guys !!!!! Did A.L Allen really love Coors beer ? You might have something there !

  • the stabbings took place 4 days before I was born...something else weird ! Paul Stine and I share a first and middle name ( Paul Lee ) he died when I was 10 days old !!!! Very strange co-incidence to me...doesn't mean anything ! Very interesting post. I keep meaning to take a trip up there....as for a re-enactment, kinda in bad taste guys ! Don't do it...respect the victims !!

  • I kept picturing Zodiac walking down after you guys. "DON'T MOVE!"

  • great video thanks 4 the upload

i wish the zodiac mystery would be solved already

  • Why can't I get that song, "Hurdy Gurdy Man" outta my head now??

  • @courtstone, it is a little-known fact that Donovan was briefly considered a suspect on account of his tendency to wear Wing Walker boots. Or maybe I heard that from Graysmith and it's total nonsense--I cannot remember;-)

  • Maze: Yep, the old church key opener. I remember 'em from my youth. Actually, they were in wide use even after the cans developed pop tops, pull tabs, etc, because the other end of the church key tool was a bottle opener. They still work on modern twist-off bottle caps.

  • 3333: I'm not sure who kjellqvale was/is.

  • Picsoden, you should seek medical advice. You could have narcolepsy or a tumor or something. Or it might be what you said--you're just bored by my video. Hopefully that's all it is. I wish you luck and good fortune, and I hope everything works out okay for you.

  • OCDBob916....I haven't been to Berryessa since 1978. Jesus Christ, is the low!!!!

I remember push button tabs on Coors cans before pop tops were used. That was back in early 70's. People were getting their fingertips cut with the push buttons. After a few beers I can understand why. I cut myself too.....lol.

The can you found was from the 60's. A can opener or "church key" was used to open them. Why is was called that, I don't know. That's what my older brother called them.

  • Anybody have these GPS coordinates or know where I can find them?

  • 38.563741°, -122.231813°

  • whats really murder is those lake berryessa roads!! seriously in need of some pavement TLC.

  • iteresting site but man u guys have quite a imagination

  • Thank you, scoresby, for your commentary. I will place your message on my web compendium of ill-conceived nonsense, as a warning to others about the danger of excessive self involvement and social myopia. I will of course give full and proper attribution and send you periodic royalty checks.

  • Beautiful, yet terrifying if you think of the Zodiac. Thanks for posting. 5/5

  • I haven't gotten around to finding out how old the can is. Has to be pre-70's, I would think.

Maybe A.L. Allen bought his Coors at an old, run-down liquor store somewhere on Graysmith's secret road;-)

  • Holy shit, Bob. Nice. Did you find out how old that Coors can is?

  • Leigh Allen loved Coors!!

  • Yeah; I read in some yellow book that there was a secret road from the Coors brewery to his house on Fresno Street.

  • Oh my gosh!

  • Thank you, PeterSamFanNo4.
