don't know if the kiss ever happened, but there must be a reason they put that in there. i think the subtext they're trying to go for was that the john/paul relationship really WAS sort of like that of a couple. we'd call it a bromance now. john always talked about paul like they had gotten divorced or even referred to him as his old "fiance" once. they had a relationship that was much more than that of just an ordinary friendship at least. more of a spiritual connection they both felt, imo.

There is no proof to that, not one source where John admitted that. John actually used to make offensive and homophobic jokes towards Brian. When Brian wrote his book " A Cellarfull on Noise" John told him "More like a Cellarfull of Boys" to his face. The rumour that John got off with Brian is just that, a rumour, because they both went on holiday together once for a few days.

Just because someone makes homophobic remarks doesn't guarantee that they aren't at least "curious." In fact, I had a friend who would always say "that's gay!" And as it turned out, he was. Not saying Lennon was homosexual, but I definitely wouldn't be surprised if he was curious or experimental. And it's not like there's anything wrong with that, anyway. Don't know why people feel the need to defend Lennon on this front.

I certainly do agree with your statement about people who are very quick to say homophobic things when at times exhibiting often hidden homosexual tendencies of their own, I've seen it happen many times. And even though John is one of my heroes I don't feel the need to defend him in that area. I really wouldn't care if he was completely gay. What I was denouncing is the spread of rumours and or of lies. It bothers me that people take certain rumours and spread them as if they were truth.
