"Bush is WAY more comparable to Hitler?" Do you have any idea how stupid that comment was? You must have flunked high school history or you have a really low IQ. That was one of the dumbest comments I ever read on You Tube. Wise up before you make a complete idiot out of yourself again!!
You make no real argument... but prefer to insult me. I can see that you emotions are causing you to refute me. Note: I did say - in his early years... Hitler began to form the Gustopo police force is similar to the Police State that Bush has been working towards. Hitler was also very concerned with identifying Jews. Bush would like to identify citizens with REAL ID and BIOMETRIC CHIP. Hitler used false flag attacks and propaganda to create support for his invasion of countries.
even 10 PHD's can't help if you're naturally brainless!! Condy has no role in the government... just like Bush ! puppets! I don't know this journalist but he has facts!
Once again, Rice is a brilliant person with two doctorates, One on "transformational diplomacy" with a focas on the Middle East. She has TWO DOCTORATES! You have none. I'll listen to her before I listen to you!
Whatever, I can't see her TWO Doctorates helping her in the Middle East. well, if her doctorates were focused on killing people and stealing their peace and wealth then she's doing excellent.
"stealing their peace"? The USA LIBERATED Iraq & Afganistan from brutal dictators. In Afganistan Al-Quieda was training to kill Americans & in Iraq Saddam Hussain invaded Kuwait, invaded Iran & used biological weapons to kill thousands of Kurds. Additionally he mudered over 600,000 people during his reign. There was no piece until America liberated them.
it seems you watch fox all the time. i've nothing to say, but feel sorry for you. don't you know that USA supported Saddam in Iraq-Iran war, now they're supporting Israel to invade Lebanon! since Iraq war more than 3000 US troops and more than 1million Iraqi people died and millions of Iraqi people left their homes to abroad... do you think the world is safer than 6 years ago?! NO !
You are brainwashed by primarily liberal left wing Bush hating media that lies to you. 1) according to the United Nations 64,000 people died in Iraq not 1 million. 99% from ied's & suicide bombers commited by Al-Quieda.2) I personally do business with the military & military suppliers & they confirm the surge is working & things are getting much better. In Afganistan in a recent poll taken 77% want Americans to stay & are thankfull that they LIBERATED them & 88% say things are getting better.
open facebook and search for "I bet I can find 1,000,000 people who dislike George Bush!" since 15th Sept. almost 850 000 people joined! and growing every second. can you find any group who like Condy or Bush with more than 1000 members??
In the last election Bush got 53% of the vote. That's more than half the voting population of the United States. Also, the US population is about 300 Million, so 1 million doesn't mean a thing. Also when you are younger you tend to vote Democrat but when you grow up and learn the Democrats want to raise your taxes (like Hillary will) you quickly become a Republican. Republicans are for less tax, less government control & a strong military & defense. Democrats are the opposite.
"Bush constantly raised taxes?" Bush cut taxes more than any other President in American history! Hillary on the other hand just stated last night that if she is elected taxes are going up!
Do you think everybody in the US votes? its like 20-30% if you're lucky. More people turned out to vote in Iran for Mahmoud - it was 60% there... Yet most people in the US think Iran is run by a dictator and it will likely be the next target of destruction. Its sad.
First of all, less tax and less government control is totally incompatible strong military/defense. Second of all, Republicans, with the exception of Ron Paul, want to squander tax dollars to impose the most draconian & oppressive policies on Americans and the rest of the world. Abstinence only education programs in school, warrentless wiretapping, bans on same sex marriage, the War on Drugs!?!?! Is that your idea of "less government control?"
What is more intrinsic or 'inalienable' then the freedom for people to choose what to ingest in their own bodies? Thanks to Ronald Regan, the incarceration rate in United States is the highest in the world.
I go to jail for smoking a doobie, but corporations make $billions by endlessly advertising pills that make your dick hard. The only freedom Republicans are interested in is "freedom of markets;" which in other words means eliminating the barriers that keep the ultra-rich from becoming even richer.
Things like price controls on milk/bread, environmental regulations, taxes...Republicans want the 'freedom' from these government controls because it puts a limit on their rapacious greed. I am not saying the Democrats are much better, I consider them Reps and Dems to be two factions of the same party, but unless you are a millionaire it is probably not in your best interest to regurgitate this neocon propaganda.
You have a fudamental misunderstanding of our free enterprise system. I suggestyou put the joint down & think for a minute: Why do 10's of millions want to come into the US, both legally & illegally- EVERY YEAR. Answer- because even with our fualts, we are the best country that gives people the best opportunity for freedom & a better life!!
Are you trying to tell me that the people of Afganistan and Iraq are better off now?? you are sorely wrong. Also, you're 'democratically elected' president has taken away alot of your freedoms.... When George offers you the 'vaccine' that will save you from the 'epidemic' I would recommend you abstain, but its up to you.
Now that is what I call a complete dressing down.
He knows his facts.
I've also wondered about Dr Condoleeza Rice's supposedly qualifications and if they are actually worth the paper they are written on judging by her appearance of being uninformed at best most of the time and just plain misinformed the rest.
Saddam's Ba'ath Party was founded by Michel Aflaq who worked with the Nazi from 1940-1947,the Nazi Party and Ba'ath Party have vary similar Ideological and Mein Kampf is the top selling book in the Middle East.Saddam a Nazi? may be not but pretty damn close.
At this point how can you believe anything this administration says? The US has tens of thousands of employees and spends 40 BILLION dollars a year on intelligence and we can't stop Al-qaeda, a group of fighters the size of the Arizona Sheriff's department. It's all made up. Everything this administration does is made up.
In writing this, you could compare Nazis and Al Qaeda, but unfortunately, Al Qaeda had nothing to do with Iraq to begin with. If anything, our occupation of Iraq brought Al Qaeda into Iraq more strongly and permanently than when Iraq was under Saddam's rule. Therefore, there should be no association of WWII or Nazis to the situation in Iraq.
But Olbermann's logic isn't flawed, for we did act as an "occupying force" after WWII, so we must be acting as one now if Sec. Rice is comparing wars here. You can't compare our enemies without comparing our strategy to combat our enemies.
I see your point. In my mind, though, the war didn't end with the fall of Saddam, even if the government changed. Even if we were an "occupying force" in Europe after WWII, there was no conflict. So it would have been absurd to reconsider whether or not to go to war in Europe, since all conflict had ceased. The Marshall Plan represented an entirely different phase of our involvement.
The conflict in Iraq, on the other hand, never ceased. So, reconsidering whether or not we should be there, even after the fall of Saddam, is not absurd.
Thus, Olberman's comparing the Democrats' reconsidering of whether or not we should continue with the *conflict* to Congress' authorization of the Marshall Plan to enter a new phase in Europe *after* the conflict there, is completely absurd, and, as I said, a big disappontment.
More Olberman confusion and trying to make something out of nothing. Condi is saying that it would like going back and undoing the resolution to overthrow Hitler. The Marshall Plan was nothing of that sort. It was simply a plan to give aid. It had nothing to do with undoing the resolution to overthrow Hitler. Here he's twisting her words, trying to make her look foolish, when he's just making himself look so.
It isn't ridiculous to compare the Nazis/WWII with Iraq/The War on Terror, noooo...it's not ridiculous. *psh*. Also, there was no undoing of the resolution to overthrow Hitler, so of course the Marshall Plan was nothing of the sort. She was giving a hyperbole hypothetical.
Right -- she was saying that undoing the resolution to invade Iraq would be like undoing the resolution to enter WWII, which it would be. Unfortunately, the analogy ends there.
While undoing the resolution to enter WWII would have been absurd after the fall of Hitler, undoing the resolution to invade Iraq after after the fall of Saddam would not necessarily be absurd.
The fall of Hitler ended the European war; the fall of Saddam did not end the war in Iraq. So it's a flawed analogy by Rice.
But Olberman's taking her words and twisting them and saying that she needs a history lesson, and somehow comparing Democrats' consideration of undoing the resolution to invade Iraq with congress approving the Marshall Plan is completely absurd, and a very big disappointment in term's of Olberman's journalistic integrity.
However, I do think that Olbermann did twist her words, neglecting the "so" from her comment. He made it seem like she forgot about the Marshall Plan; she didn't. It was ridiculous, in hindsight, to change any resolution to overthrow Hitler SO that the Marshall Plan could be implemented.
However, I don't know if she understands the Iraq Authorization. You should try reading it. If a resolution for war mentions Al Qaeda connections to Iraq, a definite presence of WMDs, and the Bush Jr. defense of "Saddam was tryin' to kill my pa" as reasons to go to war with Iraq, then I would be trying my hardest to revise that resolution so as to not be associated with an administration that started this war on more false pretenses than true ones.
Yes, that's very true. As far as I'm concerned, the only reason to be in Iraq at this point is to clean up the mess we created and perhaps help them transition to a peaceful government -- if that's even possible, that is. So any prior resolution, which was on false pretenses, is null and void, and the Democrats should act on that. But whether or not we should stay, or in what capacity, is a different matter.
She's not dumb... shes just a puppet. We know nothing about her personality or where she stands on anything... she just politely recites what she is told to say. and does it with a nice outfit and hairstyle. She is better fit to be a press secretary than secretary of state.
No kidding. I always wondered how she got that job since she seems very misinformed and always has. Dammit,I wish it was because Bush is banging her;then maybe we could get the prick impeached.
Unfortunately she is a very accomplished woman, that's why it's more disturbing that she glosses over the important facts. She was Provost for Academic Affairs at Stanford, which means that she knows the ins and outs of the politics of ACADEMIA. Being a Republican doesn't hurt either in an institution that gave Hoover, the discredited President, a home.
