They also have said they made the band for fun, and they wrote songs with 3-5 breakdowns in them, until they got big and got serious, but they still want to have fun. They are really cool.

its an open string pinch harmonic, when done at the right point when the strings are really slack, it will cause a very high pitched harmonic squeal when the strings are returned to normal position, it can only be done with a floyd rose style guitar. Joe Satriani used to do this alot, there is a live video of him playing Surfing with The Alien where he does it and you can see what he is doing and how very clearly, he also gave a lesson somewhere on here about how to do it
