They fight other wolf packs or chase out other carnivorous animals such as bears and mountain lions. Theres A LOT of people. We NEED a lot of territory. Now humans ARE overpopulating, and it may be horrible, but I hope a virus wipes a lot of us out. It's better for OUR SPECIES and for the PLANET. Did you know that countries are running our of water because of the vast number of people?

Being shot is WAY better than starving to death. Wolves aren't even endangered. There are TONS of critically endangered animals out there who are ignored. How they shot them is NOT humane, Being humane allows no suffering. A point blank bullet to the head is humane, however chasing them and then hitting them in the legs is NOT humane. I am against this type of treatment.
I really don't see the problem with wolf management in Alaska. The wolf population is healthy and is in no way threatened. The animals the wolves kill on the other hand are threatened by an abundance of wolves. Shooting the wolves is the most humane way to cull the wolves into acceptable numbers. Starvation is far more painful which will be the result if the wolves continue to grow in number.
Well, I have ranching operations in Idaho and Montana. We shoot the wolves while they harrass our stock or if eating on stock. There is no harm in this. The wolf numbers in Idaho are 700% of where they were supposed to be. No need to be an internet tough guy. You and your dogs would be shot if trespassing on our ranch plain and simple. No need to make idle threats. I want the wolves to stay in YSNP but they won't so they are shot and skinned, easy solution to a man made problem.
