Depends on his mood mostly, and it IS rule of thumb that these animals are unpredictable, but on the other hand, I do know my horse and I feel safe doing practically anything with him. It depends on how well you know your horse, what might spook him or if he is in a bad mood.
Why is it when ever I watch videos like this the women/men always seem stuck up and bitchy ?? I only know of one person who is Actualy nice and actually explains things pretty well and she's a good friend of mine named Ali
Wow...no matter how you do something there is always someone that will tell you that you don't know what the heck you are doing. Personally I don't put much truck in a full tail. I ride to work on my ranch so it don't matter to me much. I brush the tail out once a week or so but if hair comes out ahh well. I guess it all just comes to personal preferance. Keep on riding and loving your horses.
twist the tail tight and start at the bottom slowly untwisting it as you go (hope this makes sense!!) You dont want to pull ANY hair out, and also dont rip through it like above, be gentle.Just a tip, the best shampoo is called braid easy, and the best de tangler in my opinion is show sheen :) I dont mean to sound know it all, i just get sad when tails are ruined :)
kelly said not to brush the tall everyday because it will rip a lot more hair out. i find that if i brush my horses tall almost everyday less hair comes out because the tangles arent that big. and you can stand behind your horse. it really depends on how well behaved ur horse is. i stand behind mine all the time to braid their talles and ive never been kicked.
omg i love horses! my horse doesnt have a tail THAT long! but my friend's shetland welsh pony has a tail that goes all the way to the ground! and my other friends standardbred has a reasonably long tail too.
Actually, you dont really have to do anything you just have to let your horses tail grow naturally. I am not sure if there are tail products, other than medications. But my horse was born with a short tail, not the bone, but the hair. It has gotten much longer, without me doing anything. By the way my horse is an Appaloosa.
i love horse.i just got back from a horse farm and i work for the girl that owns the horse.she has 21 miniter ponies and one of the horses just had a baby wene i was there and it is so cute.:D
