Icharus, I think...or something of that sort....Actually they didn't fly to the sun....They just made wings out of feathers and wax to escape an island and the sun flew too close to the sun...and the wax melted...and so he fell....and fell....and fell....splat

Icarus, yeah. I always quite like that story for some morbid reason. His dad was the guy who invented the minotaur's labrynth for king minos of crete. King minos imprisoned them after it was built, so the dad made the wings for them to escape, and Icarus flew too close to the sun despite his dad's warnings. The dad escaped, but Icarus hit the sea and drowned.
