  • Fuck Twilight, whether you like that shit movie or not, you're here because of Muse, the greatest band this world has ever seen. As Dom may say, SIT THE FUCK DOWN.

  • one of the better things in Bishopsteignton, how's you're phone box Matt?

  • Love how they all stand there at the end looking at each other like 'yeeah good job guys' :D

  • DON'T UP THE CREDITS BEFORE MUSE FINISH MOTHERFUCKERS

  • Chris looks like my history teacher.

  • hmmm a bit of pisstake with Chris's extremely high 'come on'?

  • the JP8000!

  • which were the guests at this show?

  • rite don't take this the wrong way I love matt he is a pure musical genius but he's not that attractive to with looks and that

  • @lUnseenSniperl Doesn't matter, have you seen his girlfriend? She is fit as fuck.

  • matt, do you need me to fold up your sleeves honey?

  • MATTS EYES ARE SO.......SOOOOO....SEDUCTIVE

  • this is a pretty good proformance for last year i notice it took them a while to truely get this song done well

  • such sparkly drums

  • I love how Dom always looks so happy when he plays :3

  • @mabbiii you should see when he plays starlight on later with jools holland. he looks pissed the whole performance lol

  • @snodawg666 Lmao, true. Matt probably spilled tea on his yellow trousers or something :P

  • aha Dom's drum samples don't kit in until bar three - somebody was slacking on the desk! Great performance as always though.

  • this is awesome! :)

  • Performance was awesome, but you can tell the acoustics weren't as good as some of their other live performances :P

  • Did they do an interview or were they just a musical guest? American, so I'm not familiar with Ross's format.

  • @aajaaxcleaner They were just a musical guest.

  • 1:36 <3

  • I love "Rabbit-Matt" 2:20

  • haha, so come on!

  • You know they're playing and not miming if they're all in the correct places !

  • Billie Joe Armstrong, Gerard Way and Jared Leto all have "uniforms" for live performances. Matt needs to get one.

  • @Paul2404White All those people suck compared to Matt Bellamy!!!

  • @MuseManiac25

    agree!!

they haven't got half the talent that matt bellamy is carrying around

  • I love Matthew's moves. : D

  • Teehee, I absolutely adore Matt's shoulderpads. =D

  • Dom looks like he's having fun :D

  • Chris here looks like Ricky Martin

  • amazing !

  • what effect does chris use for this song?

  • @AmuseMe543 distortion/fuzz for most of the song, bar the riff bit when Matt stops, and it fades in with some sort of volume pedal/phaser, i think :)

  • @AmuseMe543 definately uses an octave pedal and most probably the russian equivelent of the big muff, as well as other distortion, maybe a boss overdrive. He most probably even uses one of his synth pedals as well by the sounds of it. In the album version in the bridge of the song, either a EQ scale is messed around with or a kaossilator pad is used to fade it and make it sound like its in another room

  • OMG this is AMAZING! Muse look perfect & played perfectly as well! :} Love this. ily Muse <3

  • they are the best band EVER!

  • God i love this performance, just incredible. What a sound!

  • 1:00 the sound recording equipment couldn't take matt's epicness.

  • Chris : "come on" Made me laugh

Dont ya hate it when the radio version takes out the epic solo and end :(

Happy they included solo in this ^^

  • Chris is a real master of background.

  • flawless band!!

  • ive never heard a good live version of this on tv - the come on! bit always sounds pathetic with chris in the background makes me laugh everytime. Just sounds....empty for sum reason. Mayb shud put sum effects on chris' mike or sumfin

  • are the drummer and singer brothers ?

  • @AirdrieUnitedDaft No, they're just good friends.

  • @Addictd2Muse they look very alike lol

  • @AirdrieUnitedDaft They do and yet I've never really noticed.

  • @AirdrieUnitedDaft i think they are cousines

  • Muse are awesome i love them too bits! i hope i get to see them live soon enough! ..... love you DOM AND MATT!

  • Chris with MUSTACHEE!!

  • open your third eye

  • Wait a min. Why are there 4 of them?

    Who's playing the keyboards?

  • they always play with 4 live

  • Yea, but who's the fourth?

    What's his name?

  • Alessandro Cortini, i believe.

  • Morgan Nicholls.

  • Yea, thanks. I found an article about him now.

It seems to me that he's more like a back-stage guy. Keeps away from the cameras and the press.

  • I know him!!! so nice. gave me backstage passes!

  • You're serious? You got to meet with Muse? How cool is that! What r they like?

  • really nice :D

  • that would be Morgan Nicholls. he always joins for the live shows, he handles the background music parts that they cant do with their instruments (like the piano in starlight or the resistance piano)

  • Niceeee :) Matt is really gettin into itt :D andd chriss singing 'come on!' bless him, can barely hear him overr dom and matt creatingg tunee xx

solo is mindblowingg, just a small thing tht matt can createe but still awesomee

  • Excellent. One last hit at a mainstream audienence.

    Got me listening.

  • Niiiiice ending :3 Not seen this before!

  • matt's corus voice!!!!

  • did they play or what?

  • It's a status bass, actually

  • never knew that, cheers

  • MEXICO abril 20 !!!!!

  • Why the bizarre capitals?

  • Its a steinberger headless bass

  • boooo

  • i say dom goes back to tama, yeah? acrylics, or s.c. bubinga

  • 42myusername and PHXXXXXXX I couldn't agree with you more, I nearly missed seeing them with in november coz my friend suddenly got a ticket and they sat down for alot of it! It was fucking painful being surrounded by OMG OMG people and stupid fucking girls who wouldn't stop freakin out.

I love them and can't wait for their next gig here, its like the power of god is in the music (the god thing is just a figure of speech btw, not religous)xoxoxox

  • Chris plays like a freaking machine! So accurate, great to watch such talent everytime he plays.

  • @FLcruiser62 Thank!!!! Somebody needs to give Chris some credit, hes just as important as Matt

  • @FLcruiser62 sing Sober to him!..."you're so solid,,...,you're so solid..".XD

  • OOS was far better than this although its stil good..i dont like the direction they are goin in

  • there was a time MUSE were called Radiohead wannabe's... til they changed direction, and now we have a stunning god of a band... think about iit ;)

  • we have differing opinions my friend :P

  • ur opinion is bullshit my friend but i respect that you're entitled to it :P

  • I can't say i'm a long term fan.

and yes, the first time i heard Super Massive Blackhole was on the twilight album.

I'm pissed i missed out on this bands awesomeness when they first started.

they've got one new fan on my part.

  • yeah, listen to Showbiz, and OoS, thats a great place to really appreciate em...

i suggest listening to Citizen Erased, Plug In Baby, Unintended and Muscle Museum as soon as humanly possible ;)

  • Any1 has a right 2 like Muse, but 4 ppl like me who loved this band since the 1st single, to see the fanbase go from mature real-music fans to little girls n chart watchers who only 'like' this band coz they're suddenly cool to like, its a bit dis-heartening. Its a double edged sword coz any old-school Muse fan will agree, 5 years ago, all of us who loved Muse were saying 'THIS BAND'S AMAZING, THEY SHOULD BE THE BIGGEST BAND EVER!!' now its happening we don't all like it. But I still love em!

  • good comment!

you cant be the biggest band ever without the follow ons and hype!

    all part of it!

im sure muse welcome fans of all walksof life but will always remember the original fans!

  • Comment removed

  • Muse's new album is good, you know what sucks about Muse now? The fans, they used to have a proper rock following, now it's a bunch of irritating 15 year old fangirls, OMG MUSE R SOOOOO CUTE xD I WISH I COULD MARRY THEM LOL! etc etc Their concerts suck now because you're surrounded by these idiots, MATTT MATTTT MARRY ME MATTTTTT. Still a brilliant band though.

  • There concerts dont suck...believe me...i seen them in november and it was an unbelieveable show..better than wembley :D

  • @PHXXXXXX i'm 16 and i would love to go to a concert of theirs. but i would be freaking out because their musical ability is awesome, not because they're "hot". so don't hate all teenage fans because they are one of the best bands i have ever listened to...no joke.

  • @PHXXXXXX

I don't know what 15 year olds you are referring to because when I went to see them I saw a lot of people in their 20's to mid-40's. Especially between 20-30 year olds. If you are trying to say all the Twliight fans why don't you just say it?

I don't think it's a bad thing for them to like MUSE. Just because they went to see Twlight doesn't mean they have bad music tastes, I actually bought the Twllight soundtrack and found a lot of good artists featured on it. Especially MUSE.

  • @Stormeyworld You know why you saw lots of 20's to mid-40's?

Because: "People attending this concert under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult." That's why. Go back to your vampire films kid.

  • @PHXXXXXX

Kid? Pffhhht! No grandpa I'm not a kid. Why don't you pick up your cane and go drink your ensure now...go along.

  • @Stormeyworld I'm 19. Fool.

  • @Stormeyworld Indeed the Twilight soundtrack has a lot of good artists :) Heard the soundtrack before i saw the movie and that soundtrack is the reason that i first started to listen on Muse. Then it was because i like their music and Matt´s voice. The final blow that made me obsessed with Muse was the interviews ^^ All thanks to the promise Matt gave to Stephenie Meyer :) <3

  • @twimatt I started to listen "muse" 'cause of that too.... now I love all their music... I mean they are such a great band... I love Matt's voice too, and how Chris plays the bass, and Dom and the drums..... And what makes me love them more was the fact that they are live performers, they never lipsync and, if somebody force them, they make fun with him.

  • @twimatt You're the type of "fan" us real fans hate...Twilight sucks and was a blemish on Muse's normally stellar track record

  • @TheJamieRockwells So you hate me cause i like a movie? Okay. Glad we got that settled. If you now exuse me i´ll gonna listen to the rest of Citizen Erased, put on Hullabaloo DVD and then go to Museslash to see if there been any updates. At least there it exists some real Musers that doesn´t hate me just because i like Twilight.

Bye, i don´t need your kind of "fan" in my life :)

  • @twimatt Congratulations you can name one of there most popular songs and you bought Hullabaloo Soundtrack, I can't imagine you would be the type of fan that downloaded Glastonbury 2011 or the jazz piano version of Cave nor the kind of fan that gets chills down your spine when you realize Matt's playing with his hero on Where the Streets Have No Name...I don't suppose you have We Are The Universe or Popcorn in your collection let alone Glorious or Soaked...us real Muse fans don't want your type

  • @TheJamieRockwells Sorry, I'm not the type that downloads things. The jazz piano version of Cave is great and the wicked one is also great in it's wicked way. And i don't really listen to other rockbands so i didn't know who Bono was first but it was obvius that Matt was on the ninth cloud and i was happy with him. You have no idea how many times i've listened to We Are The Universe and Popcorn even though i sadly don't have them in my collection yet. Glorius and Soaked are great songs but i do

  • @TheJamieRockwells kind of prefer Futurism and Piano Thing. And i don't know how it's with you, but i actually get more updates from awesome people that are admins on muse-fan-pages on facebook than i get from my added friends. For me Musers is like a big family and you don't fit in that category so i big you goodbye with the lyrics of the hidden song on Starlight.

  • Wow, they sound great live. Hope to have the chance to see them one day in concert.

  • awesome!!!

  • I love that bass guitar.

  • Also what about the other lights they are using like the huge spots that have such a true light beam

    anybody know?

  • Does anyone know what the square lights are called?

because i'm trying to learn how to design a lighting program and i'm struggling to find them

  • True that! Muse already have a colossal, world wide reputation as one of the best bands on the planet! Their following is truly substantial compared to many other bands, being awesome live does help :D

  • I can't agree more emexlondaxe. These guys are a great band, not to mention they sound great live.

  • all you guys saying that this is shit, I think you're all forgetting something. This is Muse, it doesn't matter if it sounds a bit different. I saw them at wembley and it was the best live performance I have ever seen. They are absolutely INSANE.

  • Matt and Chris are hot as ever :D

  • lol matt looks like he stepped out of the 80s

  • I <3 Muse!

  • lol twilight... why do we live in a world where muse and twilight are even related in conversation... its dispicable!

  • thank you! this is the ultimate disgrace and humiliation.

  • second that!

  • Why?

  • because i hate cats

  • Is that the only way that could explain it?

  • robod42

nomas tengo una cosa qe decirte PENDEJO

O PENDEJA, ERES LA MIERDA MAS GRANDE QE EH LEIDO, TU COMENTARIO ES UNA MAMADA, YA ERA FAMOSO MUSE ANTES DE ESA CAGADA DE PELICULA DE VAMPIRITOS CULEROS , PINCHI IMBESIL,

FUCK YOU , i give a fuck if you understand me btw

  • No, they were sooo great before new moon

  • i cannot describe how much i hate this comment

  • Wow, ignorance at it's finest.

  • are you kidding me. they were barely in new moon, and they won best live band in the world before new moon even came out.

  • Sure...because they weren't extremely famous already...

  • You're obviously a complete moron.

  • @robod42 "YOU MADE THIS BAND"? seriously? SERIOUSLY?!? i don't even know how to begin insulting you...

  • @robod42 moron is not an insult big enough for you.

  • @robod42 HAHAHAHAHAHAH u don't know nothin' about music dude

  • I really love how he's staring DIRECTLY at the camera. Really trying to get his message across XD

  • Google "Movember UK" and search for Chris Wolstenholme, you can make a direct donation for Chris & his November-'tache to prostate cancer research, I've personally stuck in £20 and have also taken part in the similar No-Shave November (full on beard!). Good on Chris for rockin' with that awesome 'tache in the fight against cancer!

  • to all the people poo pooing this performance, imo it picks up alot after the first chorus and the guitar chimes in, then I'm pretty sure its downright awesome!

My 2 pennies anyway. I agree it seems rushed and squeezed into jonothan ross' pretty crappy stage set up.

  • i heard this song for the first time on jonathan ross last friday! i've never really been a fan of muse; the only song i liked was the one about "our time is running out" but i must say... i LOVE this song!!

  • I agree with a few people here. This is a rare live miss for Muse. Every performance I have seen of this song is really boring. Which is a shame, because it's a damn awesome song.

  • Boring? i beg to differ, if this is such an awsome song then whats wrong with this live version? Apart from the EPIC! outro riff. Everything else is the same...

  • @marioman2006 It doesn't have nearly as much energy as most of their live songs. They just stand/sit there, in front of their instruments and play them normally. There's none of the wacky guitar flailing and swinging. No fantastically improvised solos. Although, they do have a very small slot on a chat show. So there's not much room for creativity.

  • @0Genus0 Matt hardly ever does improved solos to be honest. You will find his solos are played roughly the same through the tour. Yes they might change but not because of him improving it at the gig. But during the sound check. And this isn't there main audience. A tv audience. So there not goign to be jumping around like crazy

  • definitely sped up to fit it on the show

  • There's not enough excitement in this song to be good live. I miss the days when Muse were crazy live :(

  • it's indeed not as wild as their old live

but dude, muse gotta change, and this change, for me and as well as many other muse fans, is not so bad

    i love the new album!~

  • now i feel bad, i just read that chris grew the moustache for Movember, and its supporting prostate cancer. :s sorry for doubting u chris!!! we luv you!

  • nice moustachio chris! :P i think, that it definitely makes him look older than matt and dom...which isnt necessarily a bad thing, i personally think he looks better without it, but he looks good both ways. COME PLAY SOME CANADIAN SHOWS, MUSE!!!

  • nice to see chris's knights of cydonia stash again

  • I thought they were great as always...fucking awsome live no matter where, well done guys brilliant as always x

  • lovin this tune well done guys

  • I love it :)

  • If you're bored you're boring. Muse performances are incredible.

  • lmao... watch them preform hysteria, knights of cydonia, plug in baby, stockholm syndrome, assassin, newborn.

those are just examples of when the members of muse are at there peak.

and i know muse preformances are incredible, im goin to see them live soon.

they just better do the riff at the end, cause the studio ending to this song really is boring...

  • @iclipseco yeah i cant believe that ending isnt on the record, as good as i think The Resistance is, i think they just missed a few more riffs like that, the ones in MK ultra and unnatural selection are good mind.

  • @cliffyjames Totally Right who doesnt like Muse is cuz doesnt know what music means! He got a great voice plays guitars fucking great.

  • I really don't like this song live at the moment. They always seem to perform Eurasia so well, but this sounds like there's something missing. I guess practice makes perfect.

  • personally i think this song is about the NWO & the Illuminati!! Good track!!

  • they look so excited to play it :)

  • brilliant as ever !

  • I'm quite a Muse fan but this is actually quite a dull song/performance, I saw them live a couple of weeks ago and I'm still not convinced by this song...

  • @ss1105

I think the opposite, this song is one of their best, it's so fuckin' good.

  • Is this song about Irish rebels?
