There is no excuse for the fan's insult (although i feel sorry for him after Morrissey's «invitation» to leave ), and it has nothing to do with «stardom», «affectation», or «primadona's behaviour», but pure and simple respect! It's unbelievable that are people writing here that cannot discern one thing from another...
unbelievable. he acts like a child in the sandbox. gimme a break.... what a drama queen....ok, I am ready for 1000 virtual thumbs down and nasty replies, it's ok, go ahead, I won't try to get you kicked off youtub if you tell me to fuck off, I'm not 3 years old, lol ;-)
i wonder if the motherfucker who was disrespectful with Moz, would do so if somehow the singer were the rapper 50 cent... in the other hand.. normally the people who is in the front of that kind of shows are the greatest and finest fans..i do like depeche mode a lot.. and i would never ever think to say to dave gahan go fuck yourself.. white trash
After personally witnessing the Liverpool Echo Arena gig fiasco of which I initially supported Morrissey's actions, I am somewhat dissappointed that he demanded the "F@#K You" heckler exit the venue without first giving due consideration to the reason he gave in his defence? For goodness sake if one makes fun of the location they are perfoming at, one should anticipate a certain degree of rebellion? Afterall Morrissey is a rebel amongst rebels isn't he? James Dean R.I.P!
You say that Morrissey didn't make fun of anything but he did hence the laughter after bestowing his wit upon the Hamburg fans however, as you rightly pointed out, the heckling fan who didn't get the joke was singled out and paid the price for his actions. My point is this, Morrissey cannot and should not bait the fans if he does not accept the bite. I just feel that this fan was treated unfairly especially after he told Moz his reason and admiited his prankish remark said in confusion.
I think this is the first time ive ever heard Morrissey say fuck hahaha now if only he couldv`e done something like this in Liverpool instead of ruining the whole night just because of one idiot like on this clip! he`s obviously getting pushed too far now because lets face it this tour has been nothing but a disaster!
Well, things went something like this: With the show taking place in Hamburg, Morrissey at one point just said that he would find it weird to be called "Hamburgers" as an inhabitant of the city. Nobody would want to be called "Hot Dogs", either. He therefore would propse a change of name to something like, say, "Hamburgists". They guy in the audience responded, dropping the F-bomb and that's what got things started.
Then when he was singled out after the song and Morrissey spoke to him he replied "But I love you!" and Morrissey told him to "love him outside then". Which is they way I would have expected him to respond in the first place. Just classy. The "fuck" on Morrissey's side came very unexpected. Still, I entirely defend what Morrissey did. He punished that one bloke and not the entire audience.
Also, I cannot understand how someone from Hamburg could possibly take offence in Morrissey's remark. He did not tell them they were idiots or something, he just said that their city had a funny name which of course bears resemblance to "Hamburger." Wordplay, nothing else.
He's either becoming way to sensitive or got a bigger set of balls for his 50th birthday...
First walking off stage because of the water bottle, then cursing off an audience member..I hope next time Moz jumps in the audience and slaps someone.
Morrissey is so amazing, even when he swears he sounds polite. He does look very angry though. I'm glad he confronted the man. If he'd done that an Liverpool things would have been much better. This tour seems to be going from one bad incident to another. I think Morrissey needs a rest, here in England with his mum.
I was there in Berlin... hmmm... gone well. I think Morrissey is "not easy" and difficult ( I mean, listen to his songs...). Thats why he is what he is... Maybe he stops touring soon. I didn t understand why he starts a solo career after the glorious Smiths.
But I saw one of my few "Idols" live at last.
I don´t understand why someone pays over 100DM to say "fuck you" to him or to throw beer cans.
I see Moz and I see a man in dire need of a couple of years off.
He's obviously unwell, and his legendary primadonna behaviour is lapsing into self parody. Every time I get an RSS feed from True-To-You I think "Here we go again. What's upset the delicate flower now?"
For God's sake have a long holiday, and come back refreshed. It's not as if you need the money.
It's been disappointing seeing his career nose-dive like this, and how incapable he is of dealing with anything less than absolute adoration. It reeks of insecurity, and not wanting to be there.
He's creating sub-par music, and he's about endearing as the worst teacher that you've ever had.
His career has not taken a nose dive, he has been disrespected and why should he put up with it? First it was Liverpool and now Hamburg...the problem is the individuals who cause these problems. I can't wait until he comes to Oakland and Los Angeles where he is loved!
"the moment he had the lights turned up I thought it was gonna go off big time so I put my camera away"
That's the most counterintuitive thing... :P

Good for Moz. Fuck ungrateful fans. It is a PRIVILEGE to see this man perfom.

Something SERIOUSLY wrong with Moz in my honest opinion. This whole tour has gone from one disaster to another.
When I saw him at Brixton a few months ago it was so half arsed, he just doesnt seem right.
To me he seems bloated, out of breath and un-interested. When he collapsed in Swindon he should have sacked the rest of the tour.
He needs to call time on these never ending dates and rest up.

Time to call it a day Mozzer. You're 50, overweight, and bereft of any decent musical conspirators. Retire.

The real outrage is this song.
It's like a theme from a bad television sitcom.
Picture a bad French version of the Mary Tyler Moore Show, featuring a young woman throwing a beret in the air in from of the Eiffel Tower.
Seriously, that's a horrible song.

all of you, have you gone mad? Just think of the things Moz reached so far. He doesn't have to put up with things like that at all.
I would have done the same thing at one of our shows. It was an incredible show in Hamburg; he sounded amazing.
Why bother "fuck off"- shouting morons... gimme a break already....

When I was young, it was my ambition to see Morrissey live. After yesterday in Hamburg I'm searching a new youthful dream...
Very unappealing his behavior towards his fans who payed 65 Euro for this stubby show.
