Moonasha said "I'd love to hear this on acid." We usually were. Hey think of this and other Quicksilver rolling through your head along with the roar and cackle of the dragpipes of a 750cc Triumph Bonnevile @ 95mph going down highway 1 to Key West with $200.00 and an ounce of columbian gold in your pocket. Such was life then.
Intense and accomplished duel. From QSM, be sure to listen to the touching Dont cry my lady love, the vintage What about me, the enabriated Gone again, et bien sûr the famous Fresh Air.
Watched this band perform live at the Fillmore, with Gary Duncan the heart of the group. John Cipollina, however, was the soul. These two were absolutely intimidating when they burned it up. RIP, Chip and keep on going, Gary...
Un duel intense et accompli, mais avec une certaine longueur à la fin. De QSM, je préfère le touchant Dont cry my lady love, le vintage What about me, l'ennivrant Gone again, et bien sûr le fameux Fresh Air.
I close my eyes, drop in some sandy town. Clint Eastwood gazes at me, his eyes widen and he shouts "Get down!", so I drop to the ground. Bullet blazes through my hair, Clint takes his gun, shoots, kills my dispair. Watch out next time kid, he warns me, for I'm not always around. He hands me a gun, a handle of white ivory, "for when there's no other way out to see". Wise advice, I much oblige.
But raiders come a runnin, with the town on their minds. For one last time, I won't leave you behind..
I love how they wrote an amazing song like this while they were trippin on acid and lots of bands nowadays cant make anything even close to as good as this song when there completely sober
OMG this brought that whole time period flooding back in on me! I would listen to this album over and over and over, trying to get more detail out of Cippolina's guitar playing each time. Amazing to hear music from a time when musicians actually wrote music and played instruments.
One of QMS' BEST LPs. Few people know about it, surprised to see it here.
Don't remember whether this was recorded at the Fillmore or Winterland, but certainly top 10 of the shows I wish I saw. Always reminded me of how tough the first SOBs who made it to California must have been.
cippolina at 5:12 always makes me chuckle ... along with davids singing, wonderful!... guitar slingers ... really great instrumental, esp the first 6 mins ... its all good tho!

You Tube suggests that those who like this video will also want to watch Sonny and Cher visit the Barbara McNair Show?? WTF?

John Cippolina could conjour the sonic spirits from his guitar like no other. That haunting feedback chills you to the bone. He was one cool dude!
