@blimbby I have been playing for more than 30 years now, with some time off during my university years. To learn a song: It really depends. A new song like "Caravan" took me about 2 weeks. I have listened to older songs so much though that most of the learning process has already happened....

I have watched just about every drum cover of this song and this is by far the way best of them all. Others do it well, but their sound is not nearly as close and this guy probably has at least a couple hundred extra beats on the various cymbols, drums, etc that are simply missing in all the others.
