  • The only human who can do this is Chuck Norris...

  • Admit it. You all want their mad skills XD

  • Thecastlevania ones were sick!

  • I now truly appreciate the work that goes into making these.

  • This video rox so hard, brain can't comprehend it.

  • Most epic videogame video ever made.

  • This is just... epic.

  • So much nostalgia in this video

  • nigga stole my bike.

  • Resident Evil 1 piano room with this music remember old times obviusly only the first music

  • Moonlight Sonata and Castlevania(don't know the music name). Nice soundtracks!

  • @Akuma5517 It's actually Travel Demon, by SSH.

  • Fucking asians

  • Miiiiticooo meu povo!

  • Cool story, bro.

Now try It with no assisted tools.

  • @GustavoMsTrashCan Dude, the fact that we use tools is the whole POINT. We don't do it to show off, we do it to show people what would happen should the game be played perfectly. We do it just for the pleasure to see a game played perfectly. If you were not in awe at some point watching this video, either you've seen it before, or your standards are too high.

  • @thechucknorrisofNSMB You pretty much nailed the whole purpose, sense and how meaningless Is to make such video: "To show people what WOULD happen...".

It's not you; but the 3rd party program doing It for you and feeding your nerd fetishes.

Different tastes; different point of views, but some things I tend to not consider, since this Is plain retarded. Like hitting the head against a wall and calling It a "fun" experience.

  • @GustavoMsTrashCan Dude, have you even USED any of these programs? The TASer using the program is the one doing all the work. If anything, TASing is even MORE tedious and time-consuming than playing the game normally. Some of us actually take pleasure in watching such things. (some arguments cut to fit comment size)

Besides, what kind of an idiot am I to be arguing with a troll? All trolls do is make up facts to insult normal people, yet normal people like me and others use legitimate logic.

  • Harro! Thats my son!

  • just love the castlevania music... damn man this is a great vid, thx for sharing

  • if there is a thing as Botox for video games, this is it

  • I've beaten all the ninja gaiden series without cheats/tas, also if u need tas for castlevania symphony of the night thats sad lol. Next time post a tas of a HARD game like battletoads nes. But before u tas it spend the time to try to physically beat it (without the warps).

  • @Ethercloud It has nothing to do with the game being hard so that you need to make a TAS out of it. You don't seem to get the idea what a TAS is and why they are made. I recommend that you visit the website and read some about it.

There you can also see a (Actually several) different TASes of Battletoads, that and a lot more.

  • @Ethercloud The whole point of TAS is not to use it because you cant beat the game, the point is to show how fast and how perfect a game can be played.

  • AWESOME

  • LOL @ warrior at 4:10. Did he say "Fuck you"?

  • @gryzorr Ha, no that was the cage behind him saying thank you.

  • Tas Videos Rules!

  • Fucking nice remix!!!

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOAH

    i love TAS '-'

  • Loving that version of Moonlight Sonata at the beginning.

  • 8-bit "The Trooper". Amazing.

  • definitely one of the cooler vids ive seen

  • the ocarina of time stuff, my friend does it real time no tool assist

  • LOOOL

  • This is the best gaming video on YouTube. Ever.

  • cmon link.....samus shows you the bomb-jump.

  • As a longtime follower of the site, I was happy to see the Ninja Five-O and Sonic Advance 2 runs used in this piece. The games themselves are hardly all-time classics but the recordings are outstanding examples of what is possible in a TAS.

  • Wena rola, pos es la de vampire killer no? pero que version sera?

  • 3:59-4:06 - AWESOME music.

  • This video is BS, for there is a line where TAS-ers will accept the impossible. Air fortress. Both Quests.

Nobody's ever been able to do it. And nobody ever will. Therefore, you TAS-ers are WEAK! WEEEAAAAK! MWUHAHAHAHA!!!! *ahem* So, someone, please to a TAS of Air fortress, both quests. Kthxbai!

  • @peepeevagi #FAIL

There is no second quest, and the only known version for it is on the Nintendo Entertainment System. Although if you TAS the Japanese Famicom version I suppose you get a bit harder difficulty on it.

  • Bullcrap. When you beat the game you're given the option of starting a seccond quest (Harder enemies that show up earlier on and in greater numbers than usual). Watch the last part of frankomatic's playthrough of it.

And the Japanese version is easier. You respawn where you die, not at the very beginning.

  • @peepeevagi WRONG. Read the Wikipedia article and weep. Later, potater!!

  • Read the strategywiki guide on it(The official source for speeddemosarchive guides). There's a second quest yo. Every level map has a 'seccond quest fortress' version.

  • Thank guys, you set Sonic FREE 4:27 you can see Sonic working on 100% of his capacity.

  • And by refusing to accept the word impossible, they take up many hours and days of their life to make it look like this is all really possible in under an hour. Awesome job you guys =D

  • 1:29 - You have just denied the law of gravity o_O

4:10 - lol did he said "Fuck you"?. Wait, that's "Thank you".

  • The Nemesis one at 2:50 is crazy. I lolled alot

  • IIRC, Marble Madness had an exploit to skip most of that upward map level by jumping off to the side. I remember doing this as a kid on my Apple //c. :)

  • 2:47 Heh, I'm guessing adelikat did this one... considering he spells his name with the ship's fire trail.

  • @zallard1 Yep!

  • Holy... that's a lot of memories.. Favorited!

  • Human skills aren't enough if the human in question has no ability. Why is that so hard to understand?

  • 6:47 HOLY SHIT

  • Sonic's like "THE GAMES TOO SLOW!!!"

  • The games can't handle the awesomeness.

  • 4:08

    Wavedashing was born

  • To put this into perspective- the fastest gunslinger in the world can shoot you dead in one-tenth of a second, which is faster than the human response time. These speedruns usually make decisions in one-sixtieth of a second. Be glad we need tools for this.

  • Gotta love how they just randomly throw The Trooper into the remix.

  • Those curious about the music, visit ssh.ne.jp. It's called 'Travel Demon'.

  • I love that Bloody Tears Remix!! Where can i get it?

  • this was fucking epic!

  • How did you do these glitches for each speed run you did.

  • Sonic is really sonic ;)

  • I don't suppose there's a mp3 or similar of this entire medley anywhere, is there?

  • 6:34 to 6:40 mario hacking xD

  • >> Castlevania colab

    > Oh cool!

    > The trooper

    > OH SHIT NIGGER

  • The song in the beginning at least appears to be a rearrangement of "rain" off the cowboy bebop soundtrack.

  • @Artuir82 The music at the beginning is a remix of the Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven and then Holst's The Planets: Mars, the Bringer of War.

  • whats the name of the music?

  • 4:10 - THAT's a true ninja.

  • lay off the awesome sauce...

  • From now on, I refuse to be a simple "man"... I refuse to be mortal! I refuse to be flawed! I refuse to follow the rules! I don't accept the word "Impossible" anymore and I want to think beyond "normal"!

  • Its S.S.H., Dracula - Medley, enjoy!

  • epic music and a great tribute to TAS excellent job.

But I can't think of nothing else, it needs more Super Metroid.

  • Wuts teh music?

  • @86Corvus wrong ;]

  • @86Corvus you miss the whole point of these videos. Do you really think they make them to see how well they can play? NO moron, these games have been beaten time and time again. The point of TAS videos is make something that looks cool or hasn't been done before. It's not to say"hey look how good i am at this game"

  • @86Corvus "oftenly played at 200% speed"? As a TASer, man of the trade, etc. I'm pretty sure the average playing speed is 5%. As in they PLAY at 5%, and then VIEW the run at 100% speed.

  • @thechucknorrisofNSMB

    way to pull them down,

anyway it still looks pretty cool

  • @thechucknorrisofNSMB you should be playing in frame advance, not "5% speed".

Frame advance gives you the most precision, duh-tective.

  • @NitroGenesisTAS you sir are correct.

  • @NitroGenesisTAS I said average, although yes I see your point. I mostly play in frame advance, but sometimes I'm advancing through text and I'm going on regular speed holding down autofire.

  • 5:55 i didn't find that too impressive sorry

  • That beginning song, played in Earthworm Jim 1 or 2 I think...

  • @ProjectJonty

It was in the intestine level of Earthworm Jim 2, but it's way older than that. I can't remember the original name, sadly.

  • OH GOD THE SITE IS GOING DOWN D:

  • @sticktendo April Fools!

  • Gigantic!

  • @RaykoDrg No skill? This is God-like skill, if you hadn't noticed.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @RaykoDrg In fact, it's the opposite of "no skill", their skill SURPASSES human skill. Why don't you try to improve one of the existing TASes, since you have so much skill? ;)

There's a lot more involved than "programming of the optimal sequence of controls", but of course you wouldn't know that, you're just trollin' and we hatin'. :D

  • @shinrenx haha, well, I know what programming involves, I know what optimization involves and also I know a few things about sequencing so I have an idea of how can be programming a TAS. My "no skill" was pointing that the player (human) is not showing skill by playing the game live. By the way, I never said I have skill programming TAS, I just made a point.

  • Epic music, where did the Castlevania collage come from?

  • @Daggerhart if you want i could send you a MP3 of that music!

just need your e-mail and it takes me about 2 min

(im going to get it anyway i want the music too lol)

  • @Daggerhart

Music of the beginning=Moon Light from Resident Evil 1.

  • @Daggerhart Find the band "SSH"

  • Awesome video, awesome site.

  • That's some awesome bomb jumping around 3:22, guess Samus taught Link a thing or two.

  • when i see the sonic part in this video, the first thing i think is sonic team should consult with the creators of the TAS vids. there are some great ideas in here and gamers many times know BETTER than programmers what a fun game is. you see that loop? they could make it so that if you travel too fast, those loops run backwards and you run forwards because space cannot catch up to your speed or something cool like this. we have the technology today. awesome music in this vid btw :D

  • 6:30 ish the trooper lmao

  • Wow, what a great promotional video. But I can't help but think it needs moar Super Metroid.

  • doesnt everything really?

  • I like how almost all of the stunts are impossible in real time.

  • The Sonic parts made me jizz. THAT'S MOTHERFUCKING SPEED.

  • YEAH WOW

  • it's hilarious when you watch a character wildly flipping through a level, then stopping dead to watch a door opening animation.....

  • What's the song at the beginning?

  • Moonlight Sonata, but its some sort of modern one.

  • Thanks man, much appreciated.

  • Ok wtf was that level from a Sonic game with all the musical notes and what not in it?

  • TASVideos: Your official resource of seeing games be played so fast, it defies even the speed of light.

  • @blackyoshi1230

With a supercomputer even another amateur like you can do them even faster than your mom screams into your ear to turn down the volume and do your homework.

  • A remix of Iron Maiden's Trooper @ 6:17 ? Anyone got a link to that song or know where they got it from ?

  • Most of the songs seem to be from Castlevania.

  • awesome music ^^... several of the most legendary music themes are included

  • Nomination for Most Epic Video on YouTube: YES

  • What he said.

  • what's the song at 0:52

  • That song was a clip from the Planets by Gustav Holst. I believe there are of course 9. This one was "Jupiter". Hope that helped.

  • There aren't nine, there are seven: Earth doesn't get one for whatever reason, and Pluto hadn't been discovered when Holst wrote the suite. This one is Mars, by the way.

  • You're right. It's been a while since I played The Planets.

  • (JosephCollins) why is that spam?

  • (superkeenball) I deleted my previous comment because I added a little more to it.

  • I must notice there is no mention in the credits about the sequence from 7:07 to 7:11.

  • TG16-CD Castlevania: Rondo of Blood "Maria" by adelikat, arukAdo and paul_t

    :3

  • And this is why TAS rocks

  • The TASing starts at 0:50

The travel demon song(awesome choice!) starts at 1:15

  • ohh god this music totally kick ass

does anybody know the name of the song?

  • Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven

  • thx

so the trooper is actually part of a song composed by Beethoven???

bah just kidin' i saw it was the song travel demon after i made the comment

  • is this some kind of commercial for TASVideos?

  • @andoykids yeah, something like this.

  • amazing

  • tasvideos here .. cool

  • except I do :p

  • (andrewg1990) sarcasm..right?

  • Of course ;)

I just need to increase my speedrunning abilities 10 fold.

  • lol sorry but you fail

  • Yea, TASes = better than me :(

  • kick ass

  • why am i addicted to this?

  • wtf moment at mm2!and double dragon and metroid and river city too!

  • Nice video. What's the first song?

  • Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven but it's obviously not played on a piano, sounds like an electric guitar or keyboard to me.

  • amazing :D

  • I think tetris is missing, but this video is an instant favorite anyway.

  • the sphere thing is tetris.

  • ok, but I think a more classical tetris would beb etter, because I think most people can't recognize this.

  • This is a great video. :)

  • great montage

  • How about briefly giving info on how these clips were created in this video?

  • I am okay with Saitama Saisyu Heiki's music, although it gets boring with time, but not many people are into it. There is no much sync to it too. Also, i did not understand what's N64 Zelda fragment all about (I never played the game), can you explain?

  • The trick being demonstrated there is bomb hovering, where you take advantage of the bomb explosions to trick the physics engine into letting you stand on nothingness. It can be used to fly, which allows many sequence breaks.

  • Great promotional video! The selected clips and songs are good. However, I wouldn't have chosen that moment of the Ocarina of Time TAS.
