Those are all Marine Corps helicopters. Astro niner was the only Guam aircraft onboard when I was there from 1977 t0 1980.

Man I hate that song to this day. I remember hating that song during every UNREP during the Desert Shield/Storm deployment. But I have to say everytime I do hear this song it makes me think of all the people I served with. The SinkEx was a sad day.

Did a pump on the Guam and Iwo while in the Corps...great to see this vid. Showed it to my kid. Pretty cool to see now. Back then I didn't really care bout nothing but riding, shooting, and partying. Now this stuff is kinda senimental or something.

Nice video! I served aboard the USS Tripoli (LPH-10) as an LSE (ABH3) on spot 7/8. I have video on VHS of helo ops and Harrier ops. Gonna have to digitize it and do something like this. Thanks for sharing!
