I fell in love with an instock Angel Of Dream Hao boy from Junkyspot, he should be here really soon, actually! I'm planning on taking the money I get from Christmas and possibly taking the plunge and getting a preorder doll I saw before. So worth the wait! (:

you should start with a 1/4th for your first because its alittle cheaper and its easyer to start with (i ordered a 1/4 but haven't got him yet). and face up is the make up for the doll. and den of angles isn't open for public registration. and sanding is to get ride of the ruffness like whats left over from casting. blushing is just adding high lights to the body its not really needed unless you want it. if you have any other questions i can help ^^ i've been doing alot of research on them.
Ice Dahlia is on my wish list, and I should be able to get her within the next year and a half along with the rest of my wish list. DOA does take a while to add members, especially since there are a lot of them. It took a while before I was finally added. It's just a slow process. But congrats on getting into the hobby! She has some REALLY helpful videos, especially on what tools needed for doing faceups, body blushing, restringing, and lots more.
Yea it has already been 5 days and its killing me. I'm checking like every day, I WANNA BE ADDED ALREADY XDD! And ty sweetheart for telling me about AsvenvaBJD, she has helped me too in other cases :DDD!
One thing to be mindful of is Dollmore (not sure about other companies) separate the sanding and blushing services, if you chose to have your doll blushed only you won't be able to remove any seams or mold-lines yourself without damaging the blushing.
With a smaller doll I don't think I'd bother with blushing but with the Lusion I definitely would, I had my Lusion Dahlia blushed and it makes a BIG impact.

Heya! So, a faceup means getting the doll with makeup. I would recommend getting your first doll with one, only because you're new to the scene and don't know of any faceup artists right now, not to mention you won't have access to the DoA marketplace right away. Sanding means getting the seams from the resin molds sanded (lines on the sides of the dolls limbs, etc.). This isn't really crucial, and I usually skip it if they're small seams, or do it myself. Any other questions, just ask! :)
@KagomesSelf Usually along the arms and legs and side of the torso. It's the lines from where the molds of each doll part connect. There's usually only one on each part. I'll do a quick video right now to show you. Just give me 2 seconds.
Yay! I'm so excited for you! I'm absolutely in love with Fairyland dolls! But I am wondering... When you mean the Alice doll do you mean the Pukifee Luna Alice Fullset? If you are, unfortunately those packages, once they are sold out, do not come back in stock. :( You can just get the doll without the clothes and wig though. :)

i actually just (literally about an hour ago) ordered my first doll, wigs, clothing, eyes, essentials.
i've wanted one for so long (about 2-3 years) and now i finally am getting one!
so i understand the waiting part of it! good luck hun, it's going to be worth it when you have your delightful doll in your hands.
