Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band were the house band at Beggers Banquet on Jefferson Street for a year or so in the middle seventies. The Strip Club was Godfather's on Main Street, the pool hall was the Penguin Bar on First between Liberty and Jefferson, (you could watch through the glass from First ), the dancer's name was April. I used to sneak in to Beggar's Banquet to watch them, and I knew a stripper here in Louisvile who swore she was his daughter. Rock on forever, Bob!

@TGREY60219215 Your right, I use to see Bob at Beggers Banquet back in the 70's, I also heard that the song is about the strip club on Main street. Great times back then - and great music!

I wonder in this particular concert if he mentioned anything about the origin of this song. Apparently he has said in the past that the lyrics were inspired, at least in part by, his experiences on Main Street here in Louisville.

I know none of my seger vidoes came out on You Tube the sync is all off on all of them.. But it's not the video it's You Tube cause there fine on my computer or when I upload to My Space. I deleted them all once and re uploaded them here and there still bad..
