  • Fed up telling people this is the best band to walk god's earth. I'm content knowing that I know they're the best... It's their loss...

  • How did josh recover from fatneckitis? Well who cares but he did!

  • I love bass played high up the neck and face region. C'mon Homme, it's nearly 2011 give us some new shoes, my right knee hurts so bad.

  • This is still my favorite live recording of Into the Hollow. Favorited!

  • I love this version...the bass is o so heavy....But I have an acoustic version that is also sexcellent.!

  • Sick Mosrite bass.

  • Simply outstanding!!

  • this is the shit. this VID was out B4 Era Vulgaris came out. classic shit

  • QOTSA rocks!!!!!

  • maybe no one here has heard of , 5.15ers

  • FIFTEENERS >8)

  • i kinda like the accoustic verson better... more of a change..

  • ANY song with Chris Goss involved is from HEAVEN!!!!! He is an ANGEL ON EARTH!!!! Absorb all that you possibly can of his works!!!!!!!

  • damn...into the hollow with chris goss...goss!!!! damn... \m/

  • what exactly was he doing

  • @xAlphaGoatx he s playin the guitar ;)

  • harboy2k8 said it perfect.

  • Fucking incredible qotsa dominate

  • goss!!!

  • Seen them live, 5 star performance, still top Rock band in the world.

  • zajebiste! kto sie z tym nie zgadza, po prostu tego nie chwyta!

  • Niby sie zgadzam, ale nie jestem pewien, czy chce cos chwytac... ;)

  • zgadzam sie qotsa jest the best! a Josh Homme to juz wogole wymiata:)

  • Agreed.

  • i love this version, hope i could have it

  • I prefer this version over the album one. It's more catchy because the guitar's on the up beat. Not as gloomy-ish as the recorded version.

  • i like this version better than the one on era vulgaris, this one is damm cool

  • I know!! its kind of like they sterilised it isnt it?

  • yeah, the one on era vulgaris is actually boring, and reminds me of that song: i just called.. to say.. i love you.. and i mean it from the bottom of my heart, i dont know it kinda sounds like that song lol

  • I agree with you.

Guitor sound in the album is smaller and edited clearly. I think da noise of guitor makes da song cooler and wilder.

After all, Live is the best to hear QOTSA.

  • your damn right

  • then go post on the pantera video. idioth.

  • i didnt like make it wit chu til this album and i think that qotsa did the song justice

  • Another GREAT song of a GREAT band!

  • I hope goss and homme(the 5:15ers) release an album together and this version of the song will be on it.

  • the 1 (in the beat) is on the high first note of the rif here, as oposed to on the second lower one in the final version.

its SO much more exciting in this version I say.

  • Any one else noticed that the rif is different here from the final version? Its like delayed half a beat or something. It has alot more power in this version

  • I like all songs, except for Make It Wit Chu... it is soooooooooooo boring... QOTSA 4 EVER - BEST BAND EVER

  • Try and find a respect for some blues music, Josh does. He would be proud of you if you did. Learn!

  • nice comment buddy =D ... I'm answering to your comment cuz I love Make It Wit Chu!! hahaha... I used to think it was boring but now I see it's a nice song

  • Listen to it when hanging with your woman. I bet Josh hopes you are! Make it Wit You; It's a great, pure, raw blues song. I grew up playing metal, and then blues later in life. I am glad Josh has a wide range.

    Peace!

  • nice comment buddy =D ... I'm answering to your comment cuz I love Make It Wit Chu!! hahaha... I used to think it was boring but now I see it's a nice song

  • well its dark...haha

  • its a mosrite bass...

  • Indeed.

  • or might be a univox copy

    you cant really tell here

  • it looks like a rickenbacker (or rickenbacher however the hell its spelled) bass

  • Can someone tell my what kind of guitar josh is playing on.

    sphinx a lot.

  • what does josh say at the end?

  • I wish the sound of the guitar in the CD was bit louder.

  • Run pig Run

  • lol my drunk ass thank god for

  • Think,God for the Queens thought new rock was dead, till now

  • i think all songs are bitchin. QOTSA will prolly never make a greatest hits cuz all the songs rock...make it like...a badass box set!

  • maestro la unica muestra de lo que va quedando del grunge!

  • best songs on vulgaris: turnin on the screw, into the hollow, make it wit chu, 3's and 7's, suture up your future, river in the road.

  • Agreed, tho Im Designer isnt bad at all either

  • Ummmmm, think your forgot misfit love and battery acid

  • im designer grew on me, misfit love i need to be in the mood, but battery acid and run pig run just flat out suck.

  • battery acid is the best song on there!

  • I like this just as much though

  • the best song from Era Vulgaris, this and Turning On the screw!

  • Damn, I wish they'd done a Give the Mule What he Wants style version of this on the album, really on edge riffs. I like he acousticy version too, but still..

  • i think thats a moserite...made famous by one johnny ramone

  • i like the sound of this. great.

  • Josh Homme is fucking God.

  • if you wanna know more about the setups of various bandmembers, the old thefade site just got put back up: thefadeDOTnet slash oldsite lots of real good info on this page.

  • thanks anyways man..i tried to find out what he used with kyuss but couldnt find back then either..maybe a certain way he sets his effects.

  • ha that drum machine doesnt entirely fit the song

  • does anyone know what type of distortion ped he uses?

  • Josh is incredibly secretive about his setup. I've tried finding out what equipment he uses, but all I know is he used to use an old electric Ovation back when Ovation made electrics.

  • I Know For A Fact He Uses Bass Amps For His Thick Ass Muddy Signature Sound...And Yeah, The Ovation Elec....

  • Josh Homme has stepped up his game

  • This is the older version by the 5:15ers a band that josh was in.

  • A one night only band, him and Chris Goss, with either a drum machine or some anon drummer.

  • their personal stuff is theirs - i bet noone of here is perfect so stfu - its about their music!

  • All rockers are wifebeaters.drug abusers, fraudulant f@#kers,but they rock. Ccrimsonshit you wana see what your old mans doin next time your home!

  • Ya every rocker beats his wife..... Where do you come from Iowa. Nick was a great bassist but he was f*cked up and it is not josh's job to babysit him...I would have cut my loss too.

  • I like it, sounds like a song, eunlike to for xample "sick, sick, sick". I like that too, but its a litte bit tiring. Queens always had a good melodic tune under those heavy riffs, I hope it will stay that way.

  • just listen to sick x3 a few more times. it gets better each time u listen to it. i used to hate it and now its my 2nd favrite from the new album behind I'm designer

  • how come you already the have new album?

  • Mosrites are the shit!!!

  • sounds great! what's with the concept of the cover art? anybody know?

  • He said of it something like "something that you perceive to be a great idea, that is actually NOT a great idea.."

  • lol...wow. ok, thanks. well at least the cover looks interesting.

  • how did you get this? its awesome

  • from LFTSA

  • Yes sir they talk about Kings, but we no there will never be another king.Long live the Queens. Bring back Nick!

  • Nick Oliveri is a wifebeater. wifebeaters suck. enough said.

  • Is this gonna be on the new album?

  • yes sir!

  • whatever they do, its all good to me, each album is staement of where they are at, they are musicians creative souls, not throwing out the same old shit, like everyone else. I will always be into them, they float my boat....amen and hallejula....{is that spelt right)...do I care...like fuck.

  • Hallelujah.. And yes, it's so good that they go through phases and down different roads. It's what gave us Turnin' on the Screw. : )

  • yah u think josh just writes the lyrics no he doesnt do all of it

  • their website is streaming a song from the new album right now.

  • love it ! when is the new album comming out in DK?

  • i sure hope is around the same time as in the US (12 juni mener jeg..)

  • uh, tak:D er du også total qotsa ting??

  • well if he did the songs would be better and like there old stuff there for nick oliveri is half the heart of qotsa any1 agree

  • Lullabies is the proof that Josh was always a better songwriter then Nick...

  • @Nitro20101 the first album was josh's baby.

  • very nice

  • for the people who are sticking their nose up to this and the new album: this is merely a different artistic/musical expression by qotsa. just because they arent playing the hard fast paced stuff we all love doesnt mean they sold out or anything. it just simply means jhomme and the band are taking a different path in music. i personally enjoy the bluesy path jhomme is experimenting with.

  • hmmmmmm, need to hear this when its done....interesting tho QOTSA rule!

  • I definitely don't miss Nick too much. Their harder songs were pretty cool, but the best songs were always Josh's songs.

Can't wait for this album, btw

  • I think they are getting even better. Just enjoy watching the new music they make

  • gah why didn't that reply to the dude it was meant for. :|

oh well. i forgot to say anyway...love it! i can't wait for the new album!

  • Liking it...kind of dissapointed though. I miss the dusty, driving, hard rock from all the old albums.

  • if they were just doing the same music every album it would get boring real fast...

  • why did your comment get negative response when all u have written is the thruth. cheers

  • a whole lot of youtubers are scared of the truth.

  • they need nick back though they would be better thats wy lullabies to paralyze wasnt ass good as the other albums rated r, songs for the deaf and the first album

  • except for that the first album didint include nick...

  • yeah but could you imagine nick oliveri playing bass on lullabies to paralyze? It just wouldn't make sense..

  • digging the mosrite (copy?) guitar here =)

    and of course the song.

  • i dont get why people either love them or hate them.

I think their one of the best bands around and should get more respect.

  • you're fucking wright about that!

  • their like,, the only band thats keeping rock alive

  • Too fucking right.

  • i love QOTSA...

but thats a bit of a gay thing to say.

i mean...eagles of death metal? foo fighters?

    i rest my case.

  • chris goss looks fuckin baddass here for some reason

  • not bad at all man... very catchy

  • dont fuck with josh homme, he WILL kill you. straight up.

  • dude the chorus sounds like a backstreet boys song all falsetto and corny ass melodic sounding

  • why dont u come to one of there concerts and say that 2 him and see who the fuckin backstreet boy is then

  • Ok, ill tell Josh next time I see him to make music your way; bland, boring and monotone.

  • the web site says it on the albam, and a lot of songs that he did in outher projects end up on the Queens of the stone age CD. In My head was in Deset Sessions 9&10 and that came out befor the last CD.

  • Josh never ceases to amaze me...and whats with the raconteur lyrics?...

  • I was at this show, it was awesome, but i doubt this song is going to be on the album. it's a 5:15er's song which is Josh and Chris Goss at Spaceland in Los Angeles about 6 months ago for a benefit or something called Arthur Ball if i remember right. There were only about 50 or 60 people there, super intimate and it was their only show to date i think. The drums are just cheesy casio keyboards and they had another little funky cheap casio type thing they were using, it was rad.

  • "Into the Hollow" will be on the new album. It says so on their site. The teaser video song is called "Lies, Lies, Lies."

  • I hate your soul.

  • Nice one Josh, very nice indeed.

i can hardly wait for Era Vulgaris to be released.

That teaser, that was released, nearly teased me to death.

  • Find yourself a girl and settle down

Live a simple life in a quiet town

Steady as she goes (steady as she goes)

Steady as she goes (steady as she goes)

  • u should die for posting those crap lyrics on this video, jackass

  • I'm dead. You killed me. Hope you're happy. I like this song a lot, by the way. I just thought it sounded similar to that other song with the crap lyrics. Now I'm a ghost. I'll haunt your ass into the hollow between yr. bootocks. Go listen to some Geddy Lee you loudmouth canuck. Just kidding. I love you.

  • raconteurs wtf?! aahaha

  • Wish i coulda went to ArthurBall :(

  • im pretty sure it is. last time i checked the QOTSA website they had posted some song titles that will be on Era Vulgaris, i could swear that i saw into the hollow on ther

  • This song is pretty kickass. This is the 5:15ers. Knowing Queens, if it makes it onto the album (which it very well could from the clue on their site... then again could not) it might be different from this. They might add to it like QOTSA does so awesomely. Anyway. Kickass song. CAN'T WAIT FOR ERA VULGARIS!!!

  • Suppose the drumming machine makes it a little boring. but it's deffenitley not a bad song! I'm sure it will sound terrific with a full arrangement! NOW GIVE ME A NEW ALBUM!!

  • This is a good song, it might be repetitive but QOTSA have always had that about them. Better than most of LTP, for sure.

  • cant wait for new qotsa. I miss oliveri

Reznor will bring a new twist on the qotsa thing....cant wait.

  • this reminds me a lot of dfa1979, or a cooler eagles of death metal. i don't think its necessarily indicative of the rest of the new album.. qotsa dont normally use a drum machine (drumming is always a strong point in their shit). still, it's a catchy little song

  • cool ass song. but it sounds a little boring =\ cant wait for era vulgaris!!

  • Yeah$

  • is this a 5:15ers song that's getting redone by qotsa? How do you know it's gonna be on the album?

  • I love QOTSA and Jho, but that song is monotonous and shit, I fuckin nearly shit myself from boredom halfway through...

  • Surely you must realize nearly all QOTSA songs are based around monotone repititive riffs?

  • I had no idea until you just mentioned it...

  • Hence, the term robot-rock.

  • I'm pretty sure this is gonna be the opener for the new record... it just sounds a little sketchy to be the opener for this record that everybody has been waiting for, for so god damned long. I'm excited about it though either way.

  • sounds cool... sounds a bit like give the mule what he wants from the first record

  • Amazing band!

  • that would be a mad closing track for the album. you could feel jesse f keeler's influence on it already

  • Keeler already said he won't be on the album. This could be just interference running though.

  • so jesse keeler wont be on the album? damn i was really looking forward to him playing. all i heard was he wasnt going to be touring but will be playing on the new record.does anyone know who's taken up bass duties for qotsa now?

  • I don't think that QOTSA will reveal their lineup until Era Vulgaris is released.

  • I so hope that's on era vulgaris complete with drum machine. It'd be cool for them to keep the minimalisation with this song.

  • good ending track. Or hidden track.

I hope they dont use this for open the new album.

Why homme is set down ?

  • obviously DFA79 has had some influence on their sound.. MSTRKRFT must be doing work w/ them

  • I think this sounds like a pretty good return to the rated r/sftd era, stony and bluesy, almost sounds like it started as desert sessions material

  • Sounds a lot like Long Slow Goodbye. Still love everything they do.

  • Thanks

  • yeow, thanks nitro!! I like it VERY much. I think it adds yet another distinct facet to QOTSA's collective personality, of which there are already hundreds.

  • thanks nitro :)

  • Did i hear someone say Era Vulgaris?

  • soon my friend, soon

  • sweet

  • That songs a little rubbish to be honest...

  • I like it a lot, we all have our opinions...

  • Rad. I was there that night, and it's my silly camera flashing from the right. I can't wait to hear this song go thru full production.
